Question: For @SamuelLJackson , do we get to see some cool interaction with you and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) a few times?? Answer: all the time, but it's sorta contentious. Question: To Mr. Whedon, how many #Avengers comics did you read as reference for this movie? Answer: "I had already read them all." Question: @twhiddleston @SamuelLJackson What was your biggest challenge in playing Loki and Fury in the #Avengers? Answer: SamuelLJackson losing the weight to fit my costume & keep it off. @clarkgregg CG with the Whedon Wizard at @avengers tweet chat Clark Gregg Very diff dynamic in IM, Thor and Avengers, diff heroes, more layers to Coulson's world/powers revealed Question: For JW: Is the movie's plot going to reference any classic Avengers stories or be a more "ulitmate-ized" story? Answer: "It's a combo platter: classic, Ultimate, plus a little "Richie Rich" & "Mastering the Art of French Cooking." Question: For JW, was there an Avenger you wanted to put in the movie but couldn't make it work for whatever reason be it budget or time? #Avengers Answer: "I'm a fan of the Wasp. She's goofy and sting-y." Question: @twhiddleston Were the stunts more difficult this time around in The Avengers as opposed to Thor & how'd u prepare for them? Answer: More stunts. More training. Day in, day out. Running, jumping, flying, twisting. We worked like athletes. It was really fun. Question: @SamuelLJackson How much of your portrayal is based on comics Nick Fury and how much of Nick Fury is based on you? Answer: there's a lot of Nick Fury in me already. Question: @twhiddleston @SamuelLJackson What was your biggest challenge in playing Loki and Fury in the #Avengers ? Answer: The biggest challenge was magnifying his menace without losing touch of his emotional truth. Keeping his chaos honest! Question: @SamuelLJackson Will we get to see any background on Fury? Answer: not yet. Question: For JW: what about the Spiderman cameo in #Avengers? Answer: "There is no Spider-Man cameo. But the Avengers do turn off the dark." What did you listen to this time to get rdy for the #Avengers? Answer: "Archangel", by a band called Burial. And not a little of Hans Zimmer's soundtrack compositions. In all honesty, yes. Sometimes you wake up feeling warm and sunny, but the scene requires hatefulness and spite. Question: @twhiddleston what kind of relationship do you have with other actors on the set of "The Avengers"? Answer: Nothing but love... It wasn't called Group Hug for nothing! You have to reach deeper. And stay aware of the fact that the emotions are true, but they're not mine. Question: @SamuelLJackson are we going to see you kick some ass?! Maybe @twhiddleston ass? Answer: Fo Sho! Question: For JW: Most Difficult and Best things about filming (part) of The #Avengers in NYC? Answer: JW: "Who gets the last bagel." More damaged. More badass. Question: For @SamuelLJackson Who's your favorite Avenger?#Avengers Answer: Black Widow is my pick! Question: For JW: Everyone always asks what the hardest part of directing the movie was. What was the easiest? #Avengers Answer: JW: "Controlling the meat puppets...I mean, actors." Question: @clarkgregg @twhiddleston @SamuelLJackson Care to share the best of the #Avengers bloopers with us? ;) Answer: JW: "Not when @SamuelLJackson says them." And if so, how attentive will movie goers have to be to stop them? #Avengers Answer: "There will be actual dyed eggs. Try to find them all!" Question: For @clarkgregg: Agent Coulson is one of my favorite characters! In the #Avengers do we get to see a lot more of him in action? Answer: Oh hell yes... Question: JW: can we expect some bromance Between captain america and iron man? Answer: "Not as long as there's two of them and only one bagel. Heroes need carbs." • "Election Night" Guest: Clark Gregg [Intro
The West Wing Weekly 4.07: "Election Night" Guest: Clark Gregg [Intro Music] JOSH: You're listening to the West Wing Weekly. Welcome back. I'm Joshua Malina. HRISHI: And I'm Hrishikesh Hirway. Today we're talking about episode 7 of season 4, "Election Night". JOSH: It was written by Aaron Sorkin, the story’s by David Gerken and David Handelman, David Handelman, a friend of mine, and it was directed by Lesli Linka Glatter. Terrific director with whom I've worked on more than one occasion. It first aired, oh, all I wrote down was that it first aired, and you know what? I feel like that's good enough. [Hrishi laughing] JOSH: You don't care when it aired. It aired in 2002. HRISHI: No, I like knowing that it aired on November 6, 2002, which I think is a nice detail because it lines up with actual election week. JOSH: Indeed. HRISHI: Here's the synopsis from Warner Brothers. The official synopsis. I like this because of the way they talk about you. JOSH: Oh. HRISHI: Well, your character. "On election day Bartlet and his staff begin counting eXit poll votes across the country. In a conservative California congressional district the results have important implications for Sam and a maverick democratic campaign manager, Will Bailey." JOSH: I like the sound of that. HRISHI: "Meanwhile Donna meets an intriguing Navy Lt. Commander, Jack Reese, who has been transferred to the White House as Deputy Military Aide." JOSH: Played by Jack Nicholson impersonator, Christian Slater. Just kidding. If you're listening you're your own man and you're a terrific actor.

But when they both fall for the same handsome artist (Boyd Holbrook) and Lily starts seeing him in secret, a lifelong friendship is tested. With Demi Moore, Richard Dreyfuss, Ellen Barkin, Peter Sarsgaard, and Clark Gregg, and featuring new music by Rilo Kiley's Jenny Lewis. DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT In the end, it’s always about family. We drag them along with us. Often without knowing. Good and bad. And then comes the moment when it dawns on us to take a look at the load. We can put it down, or carry it for the rest of our lives. If our parents love us, they encourage us to put it down. They own their mistakes. They wish for us to surpass them. To be free. And that sets the stage for our lives to begin. Complete with the magic of sex and adventure and risk taking. The highs and lows of our own making. The truth setting us free. This is the summer that Gerri and Lilly learn all this.
