Visual Materials for Massachusetts Port Authority Board Meeting May 23, 2019 123 New Advisory Committee will guide implementation of TNC plans to ensure continued access for people with disabilities

• Prior to setting the new TNC policy, Massport engaged with passengers who have disabilities to ensure a workable solution under new TNC management rules.

• Massport will staff the advisory committee with Joel Barrera, Mia Healy-Waldron, and Shawn Draper.

• Initial advisory committee meeting will be convened in June.

Visual Materials for Massachusetts Port Authority Board Meeting May 23, 2019 124 Goals of the Advisory Committee for TNC Users with Disabilities

1. Collaborate with Massport to implement new TNC procedures to ensure that people with disabilities continue to have access to the terminal curbs and that the new dedicated TNC curbs in the garage also accommodate any passengers with limited mobility.

2. Act as a sounding board and advisor to Massport as we develop a communication strategy to ensure that the public understands the TNC management plan.

Visual Materials for Massachusetts Port Authority Board Meeting May 23, 2019 125 Focus areas of the Advisory Committee for TNC Users with Disabilities • The advisory committee will provide input on: 1. how best to serve the community of persons with disabilities using TNCs at Logan Airport, 2. implementation of a plan for persons with disabilities to continue to access the terminal curb when using a TNC, and 3. ongoing adherence to the plan and its enforcement mechanisms. • The group will interface with the TNC companies operating at Logan Airport, as needed. • The advisory committee is slated to meet for 9 months, starting in June, to provide guidance throughout the planning and implementation of the TNC plan.
