Striking vertical rock faces with their typical colours and many natural sculptures created by peaks will be the frame of our holiday in the Dolomites.. From our base camp in Val Badia we can practise a lot of sport: freeclimbing, mountain climbing, biking, trekking and lot more! We are looking forward to welcoming many of you for a fantastic week together…..!     Campitello/Canazei – Lagazoui ski safari Easy Medium Hard Day 1 : Lagazoui via Armentarola. Easy It is recommended that you get a Sella Ronda map from the lift office before you leave as it covers nearly all of the route. From Campitello or Canazei head to Arabba and then on to Alta Badia following the Sella Ronda route. From the Campolongo Pass, branch off from the Sella Ronda route and take the lift to Cherz and then follow the signs for Pralongia and then for Armentarola. The turn off the Armentarola is easy to miss on the right hand side just after the Saraghes Rifugio. From Armentarola you need to take a taxi to the Falzarago Pass (10 mins and 5 euro). Take the cable car to the top of the mountain where you will find the rifugio – check in to the rifugio and leave your packs here for the afternoon. From the cable car you can ski the front face of Lagazoui, back down to the Falzarago pass. Do not ski the Armentarola piste which branches off to the left, otherwise you will have to take the taxi back up to the pass. Just before the bottom of the piste there is a turn off for the Col Galena and Cinqui Torre ski areas. This is a great area to explore in the afternoon – you should leave yourself 2-3 hours for this. Make sure you check the times for the return buses to the top of the pass – remember if you miss the last cable car, you miss your accommodation for the night.

    THE THIN LINE: Life on the Edge Skier Biographies BODE MILLER Bode Miller burst onto the World Cup scene as an 18-year-old in 1996 and first gained widespread recognition when he won two silver medals at the 2002 Winter Olympics in the Giant Slalom and Combined events. Miller has won a total of four gold medals and one silver medal at the World Championships. In the 2004/2005 Season, Miller won his first overall FIS World Cup title, outlasting Austrian Benjamin Raich. In the 2006/07 Season, Miller finished 4th overall and won the Super G title. In May 2007, Miller announced that he was leaving the U.S. Ski Team to race as an independent. PICABO STREET One of the most prolific women’s racers to ever grace the U.S. Ski Team, Picabo Street was most definitely a ski racing personality. The native of tiny Triumph, Idaho announced her retirement from competition following the 2002 women’s Olympic downhill at Snowbasin, Utah, ending a career that included nine career World Cup victories, the 1995 and 1996 World Cup downhill discipline titles and a trio of World Championships medals to go along with her two Olympic medals, including the Super-G gold at the 1998 Nagano Games. In addition, Street collected a total of four U.S. National titles during her illustrious career, despite being injured and away from ski racing for two years. DARON RAHLVES Daron Rahlves is the most decorated American Downhill and Super G skier in history. He has won 12 World Cup races and 28 World Cup podium finishes, seven U.S.
