1) Is it correct to say that you have lost your license to practice law in ? Can you tell me of any other lawyers who have also lost their licenses to practice in China?

Yes. I have lost my license in May. Some other lawyers had lost their licenses out of political reasons, like , , Tang jingling, Guo yan, Zhang jiankang, Zhu yubiao, etc.

2) Do you feel that this is related in any way to you talking to the media? If so, how? The main reason is that I have taken part in many human rights cases, including Tibet issues.

3) Did you face any repercussions after you appeared on the ABC's "Four Corners" program? If so, can you outline these? I have done many interviews and I often criticize the government directly. I can't judge which interview had aroused pressure or repercussions.

4) Have you been speaking to the media more recently? If so, can you outline which media you have spoken to? Have there been any repercussions following this?

5) Do you feel you are free to speak to the media without facing repercussions? I was told to be more careful when talking to media, esp. before and during Olympics.

6) Are there any other issues to do with reporting in China at the moment that you feel we should be aware of?

Some activists or web writers had been arrested for their activities, including contacts with foreign media. like , Ye guozhu,, liu shaokun, , etc.

7) Do you feel that the new regulations introduced for journalists reporting in China have made a positive difference to that reporting? It becomes more convenient to foreign journalists to do interviews in China,-----if they don't touch sensitive issues.

Please feel free to contact with me.

Many thanks for your help in advance. As we are on deadline to make this program for Monday night, I would greatly appreciate a response today if at all possible.
