    Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth champion, Greg Rutherford is Great Britain’s most decorated long jumper and one of the country’s most successful Olympic athletes. After a successful junior career, Greg won gold at the London 2012 Olympics - changing his life forever and playing his part in the most successful night of British olympic sport in history. This iconic victory began a winning streak of gold medals; at the 2014 European Championships, 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 World Championships. In 2015, Greg topped the long jump ranking in the IAAF Diamond League, the athletics equivalent of the Champions League. At the end of his 2015 season, he held every available elite outdoor title. In 2016 at the Rio Olympic’s, Greg backed up his 2012 Olympic success with a further Olympic medal - he also found himself on the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom floor shortly after! Greg is the British record holder, both indoors and outdoors, with bests of 8.26m (indoors) and 8.51m (outdoors). These sporting successes place Greg among the ranks of the British supreme athletics performers - simultaneously holding 4 major outdoors titles - he sits alongside legends such as, Linford Christie, Sally Gunnell, Johnathan Edwards & Daley Thompson. Greg’s route to the top was anything but smooth. From humble and often difficult beginnings, Greg rebelled during his teenage years and ended up dropping out of school, telling his teachers he was going to be a professional sportsman, no matter what - despite having no job, no money and little more than a firm belief in his own raw talent.

Reply not received. 3. *Mr. Abdul Qadir Patel: (Deferred during 28th Session) Will the Minister for Interior be pleased to state: 2 (a) whether, Ministry or Human Rights Commission of Pakistan has taken notice that large number of people languishing in jails as their appeals are pending in respective appellate forums; (b) if so, the province and jail-wise number of such persons, who have been languishing in jails upon pendency of their appeals in respective appellate forums for the last three years or more; and (c) what steps are being taken by Government to formulate a comprehensive policy with collaboration of Provincial Governments to pay fines of such persons and ensure their release from jails?     IAAF Diamond League Media Information Guide 2013 www.diamondleague.com 1/37 INTRODUCTION With the creation of the IAAF Diamond League we set out to reinvent the one-day meeting structure of our sport, to bring clarity to the top tier circuit of international invitational competition which takes place outside the IAAF World Championships and Olympic Games. While there remain many challenges ahead if we are to make further advances and cement the IAAF Diamond League’s position as one of the world’s major sports series, we firmly believe that we have made an exceptionally good start in the first three years of the new competition structure. The IAAF Diamond League has a worldwide audience and a broadcasting reach undreamt by the Golden League series which preceded it. Thanks to a 14 meeting circuit which covers Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the USA, a competition programme that includes virtually the full spectrum of Olympic track and field disciplines, the guarantee of the world’s greatest athletes battling to win 8 Million Dollars in prize money, accumulating points season long to win their event’s Diamond Race Trophy, the IAAF Diamond League has captured the public’s imagination like no other non-championship athletics competition. I eagerly look forward to the 2013 season of the IAAF Diamond League which commences in Doha and concludes at the end of August and beginning of September with the finals in Zurich and Brussels.
