ANNUAL REPORT 2015-16 National Theatre Page 1 of 87 PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT In developing the objectives for the year, and in planning activities, the Trustees have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and fee charging. The repertoire is planned so that across a full year it will cover the widest range of world class theatre that entertains, inspires and challenges the broadest possible audience. Particular regard is given to ticket-pricing, affordability, access and audience development, both through the Travelex season and more generally in the provision of lower price tickets for all performances. Geographical reach is achieved through touring and NT Live broadcasts to cinemas in the UK and overseas. The NT’s Learning programme seeks to introduce children and young people to theatre and offers participation opportunities both on-site and across the country. Through a programme of talks, exhibitions, publishing and digital content the NT inspires and challenges audiences of all ages. Recent work includes Movement Director for ‘Dream’ a live, online virtual/motion capture production with The Royal Shakespeare Company, March 2021, in collaboration with The Philharmonia Orchestra & Marshmellow Laser Feast. She was also Movement Coach on 'A Discovery of Witches' Season 3 for Bad Wolf/Sky One, due for release in 2022, having also worked on Season 2 which was released in January 2021. Other work includes Movement Director for 'Agamemnon Redux' for Warwick University/Warwick Arts Centre, a project combining Live Performance with Motion Capture. She has worked as movement director for R&D project ‘Creature’ with SDNA.TV, as Movement Coach on ‘Jupiter Ascending’ directed by The Wachowskis and on 'Guardians of the Galaxy', directed by James Gunn. She also worked with one of London's VFX teams on the movements and behaviourisms of one of the leading CG characters; Groot ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. -

Grant and Paul McGann, followed by the Bruce Robinson film HOW TO GET AHEAD IN ADVERTISING - both feature films were produced by George Harrison’s company Handmade Films. Rick then established himself as one of the foremost British Television composers. His TV credits are too numerous to mention but include the award winning Granada series CRACKER starring Robbie Coltrane that earned him a BAFTA nomination; the award winning BETWEEN THE LINES and the classic costume drama THE MOONSTONE directed by Robert Bierman for BBC TV. Rick composed all four series of the hugely successful ITV drama ULTIMATE FORCE for Bentley Productions and having completed the last series of JONATHAN CREEK, Rick went on to compose for the seasonal specials including ‘The Clue of the Savant’s Thumb’ Easter special 2013 for David Renwick, and the new series which aired in March 2014. In addition to conducting his own work Rick has conducted numerous film scores including Tim Burton’s FRANKENWEENIE, ALICE IN WONDERLAND, and CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, TERMINATOR SALVATION, HELLBOY II, MILK and Paul Haggis’s THE NEXT THREE DAYS .
