He called her from work, and he was so excited that he had a hard time explaining the win. “I was confused at first because Clint … called me really quick with half-formed sentences about what happened,” says Katherine. It didn’t take long for the confusion to quickly morph into excitement for the couple, who have both a two- and a three-year-old. And within about a month, the young family moved into their new home in the southwest neighbourhood of Creekwood Collections in Chappelle. Prior to winning the home, the couple really didn’t know anything about the area. They had been living in Carlton, a northwest neighbourhood and were incredibly excited to move into their new home with its high ceilings, expansive rooms and modern decor. They were thrilled with the win, and knew the home could grow with their family, but they didn’t know what the neighbourhood would have in store until they really started looking into it. The first thing they did was look on Google Earth to see where the nearest school was located. “We were pretty excited when we saw that there is a brand new school within a few blocks from the house,” says Clint.

The kids have been excited by their encounters with wildlife along the many nature paths.
