Please email me if you would like further information) The Magdalene Mysteries relate both to alternate histories and Gnostic Texts concerning Mary Magdalene and Jesus, and to the Tradition of the Blue Rose, the name given to MM’s teachings, and a lineage of Grail Priestesses and Womb Shamans whose central symbol is the Chalice of the Grail. I was led to these Paths initially by a dream-vision on June 22, 2016, on the morning I was entering France from Italy, on my way to the Languedoc region in the SW, a part of France known for the beauty of its landscape, its rich history especially in Medieval times, its wine producing vineyards, olive groves, and sunflower fields, together with its alternative stories of MM and Jesus ‘after’ the crucifixion, its heretical Cathar ‘Holy Spirit’ movement from the 11th to 13th centuries for whom the Grail Chalice was a central symbol, and the stories and legends of the Holy Grail which sprung up in France and elsewhere during the 12th century. Since my dream, I’ve been on a journey to discover how I am being addressed by it, and what the relevance of the stories and traditions to which they relate might be for us today, in the Age of Transition to a new Aeon or myth. -

A Christian Psychologist Looks at The Da Vinci Code April 2006 Stephen Farra, PhD, LP, Columbia International University For information about reprinting this article, please contact Dr. Farra at [email protected] Understanding the Agenda behind The Da Vinci Code A number of scholarly, thoughtful responses to The Da Vinci Code have already been produced by other members of the Christian community. These other responses, though, tend to concentrate on historical and factual errors, and the false conclusions these errors can produce. This response is different. While this response also highlights several historical/factual errors in the text of The Da Vinci Code, this response attempts to go to the conceptual and spiritual essence of the book. Instead of focusing on mistakes, and what is obviously distorted and deliberately left out, this response focuses on what is actually being presented and sold in the book. It is the thesis of this review that what is being presented and sold in The Da Vinci Code is Wicca – Neo-paganism, modern Witchcraft, “the Wiccan Way.” People need to make up their own minds on this important issue, however. A comparative chart, and numerous other quotations / examples are employed to present the evidence, and make the case. The Da Vinci Code is not just a novel. If that is all it was or is, there would be no need for the page boldly labeled "FACT” (all capital letters). The FACT page is page 1 in the book, the last printed page before the Prologue, the true beginning of the story. On the FACT page, the author(s) try to convince you that they have done a good job of researching and fairly representing both the Priory of Sion and Opus Dei, and then go on to boldly proclaim: "All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate." This "novel" is really a deconstructionist, post-modern attempt to re-write history, with a hidden agenda deeply embedded within the deconstructionist effort. -

THE DA VINCI CODE PHENOMENON: A BRIEF OVERVIEW AND RESPONSE J.B. HIXSON Assistant Academic Dean College of Biblical Studies Houston, Texas I. INTRODUCTION Dan Brown’s book, The Da Vinci Code,1 gives a fictional account of a Harvard researcher named Robert Langdon. In the story, Langdon is called upon to analyze Leonardo Da Vinci’s work and decode its hidden mysteries. What he uncovers is an elaborate scheme of secret societies, religious conspiracies, and centuries old cover ups. His investigation does not sit well with the religious establishment and he quickly becomes a marked man. So goes the plot of this entertaining and influential novel. Dan Brown’s novel has generated no shortage of analysis. The Terminator By John Wills “The Terminator” is a cult time-travel story pitting hu- mans against machines. Authored and directed by James Cameron, the movie features Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn in leading roles. It launched Cameron as a major film di- rector, and, along with “Conan the Barbarian” (1982), established Schwarzenegger as a box office star. James Cameron directed his first movie “Xenogenesis” in 1978. A 12-minute long, $20,000 picture, “Xenogenesis” depicted a young man and woman trapped in a spaceship dominated by power- ful and hostile robots. It introduced what would be- come enduring Cameron themes: space exploration, machine sentience and epic scale. In the early 1980s, Cameron worked with Roger Corman on a number of film projects, assisting with special effects and the design of sets, before directing “Piranha II” (1981) as his debut feature. The President of the 1956 Priory of Sion was Andre Bonhomme. Andre Bonhomme was one of the four founding members of the Priory of Sion in Annemasse in 1956, along with Pierre Plantard. He is tired of being harassed by inquiries about the nature of the association and doesn't want any publicity - he refuses to be interviewed on tv or radio. He doesn't understand where people get the idea that the Priory was anything other than what it was - just a small club of friends. It was four friends who came together to have fun. We called ourselves the Priory of Sion because there was a mountain by the same name close-by. I haven't seen Pierre Plantard in over 20 years and I don't know what he's up to but he always had a great imagination. I don't know why people try to make such a big thing out of nothing." Wood February 28, 2018 The ancient texts found at Nag Hammadi have been studied by the leading scholars in the field of textual analysis. Included in Nag Hammadi was The Gospel of Thomas, which has also undergone significant critical and historical analysis. Research focussing on how the text was meaningful within wider social structures and Christian communities is seemingly sparse. Therefore, I propose this study to undertake a hermeneutical analysis of The Gospel of Thomas for meaning by first constructing an analysis of a horizon of the ancient communities in which the text may have been read and a modern horizon. Using Hans-Georg Gadamer’s notion of the fusion of horizons, this study will ultimately fuse the horizons to find meaning. 2 Acknowledgement I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks my thesis supervisor, Dr. Magi Abdul- Masih, for sharing her wisdom and mentorship.
