A Message from Father Mike… These past 16 months we have struggled on how to still be church in the midst of the pandemic. We got creative and made the celebration of the Mass available, in addition to in church, online and even in a parking lot. Although these methods allowed folks to watch the Liturgy, the one thing missing for most was the reception of the Eucharist. Over and over again folks said to me that they longed to receive Holy Communion. Absence really does make the heart grow stronger. This weekend the Church celebrates the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ. In a journey of over a year and a half that took us away from the reception of Holy Communion, we can now humbly walk forward to receive Jesus. I ask you to re-commit yourself to this most precious gift - The Body and Blood of Christ. A VIEW FROM THE PEW, WHAT KEEPS YOU BUSY? “It is not enough to be busy: so are the ants. The question is: What are you busy about?” Henry David Thoreau. Does the “busy” include God? IN-PERSON BAPTISMAL PREPARATION CLASSES have resumed. This class is MANDATORY for ALL those parents wishing to have their children baptized. Classes for both parishes have been consolidated.
