The units of assessment and certification included Pink Salmon and Chum Salmon spawning in Western Kamchatka between and including the Opala, Bolshaya and Kikhchik rivers. The fishing is performed by four companies – Narody Severa, Bolsheretsk, Lloyd-Fish and Oktyabrsky Rybokombinat. A total of three site visits were conducted over the course of the assessment process for this fishery. For the purposes of a pre-assessment, Dr. D. Lajus met with the clients and undertook a trip to the fishing site of the Bolsheretsk company on Bolshaya River from 26 to 27 May 2011. The assessment team conducted an initial site visit for the fishery from 25 to 30 October 2013 at company and government offices in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka and at the Bolshaya River fishing site and fish processing plant. A final site visit was conducted on 1-4 August, 2017 at the Narody-Severa Company Offices
