AD HOC ANNOUNCEMENT CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA and Fnac Darty S.A. start exclusive negotiations on strategic ticketing partnership in France Munich/Ivry, 24 July 2019. CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA and Fnac Darty S.A. have started exclusive negotiations on a strategic partnership for their French ticketing activities. Under the proposed agreement, CTS EVENTIM would acquire 48 percent of the shares in France Billet, the ticketing subsidiary of Fnac Darty. At the same time, CTS EVENTIM would contribute its existing activities in France to the partnership. CTS EVENTIM would also have the option to acquire a majority stake four years from the date of the closing of the transaction. The project will be presented in detail to the relevant employee representatives in the coming weeks. CTS EVENTIM and Fnac Darty plan to close the transaction by the end of this year. About CTS EVENTIM CTS EVENTIM is one of the leading international providers of Ticketing and Live Entertainment. In 2018, approx. 250 million tickets were marketed using the company’s systems – through stationary box offices, online or mobile. Its online portals operate under brands such as eventim.de, oeticket.com, ticketcorner.ch, ticketone.it, and entradas.com. The EVENTIM Group also includes many concert, tour and festival promoter companies for events like ‘Rock am Ring’, ‘Rock im Park’, ‘Hurricane’, ‘Southside’, and ‘Lucca Summer’. Using Green Man Festival As a Case Study

It is the result of my own independent research except where otherwise stated.” Name: Victoria Curran Signed: ii Abstract This research study was carried out in order to explore the different methods of marketing that Green Man Festival utilises, to discover how successful they are, and whether they have changed and developed throughout the years. The study intended to critically review the literature surrounding festivals and festival marketing theories, in order to provide conclusions supported by theory when evaluating the effectiveness of the promotional strategies. It aimed to discover how modern or digital marketing affected Green Man’s promotional techniques, to assess any identified promotional techniques and identify any connections with marketing theory, to investigate how they promote the festival towards their target market, and to finally provide recommendations for futuristic methods of promotion. The dissertation was presented coherently, consisting of five chapters. The first chapter was the introduction, providing a basic insight into the topics involved. The second contains a critical literature review where key themes were identified; the third chapter discussed the methodology used whilst the fourth chapter presents the results that were discovered, providing an analysis and discussion. The final chapter summarises the study, giving recommendations and identifying any limitations of the study. -

PRESS RELEASE Wednesday January 15, 2014 European Festival Awards Winners The best music festivals, artists and promoters of 2013 were revealed at the 5th annual European Festival Awards, which took place at Groningen’s De Oosterport in The Netherlands, marking the opening night of Eurosonic Noorderslag. The ceremony also included some of the hottest new European artists with performances from Irish band of the moment Kodaline, Germany’s Milky Chance and Prata Vetra from Latvia who closed the show. Germany proved it is a force to be reckoned within the festival scene, scooping a total of 5 awards; Best Indoor Festival going to Metal Hammer Paradise, Berlin Festival won Best Line Up, Melt! Festival got Best Medium-Sized Festival with the two most important industry-facing awards Promoter of the Year going to FKP Scorpio and the Lifetime achievement Award to Marek Lieberberg , founder of the twin Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festival. Eastern Europe also did well in this year’s awards with the highly coveted Best Major Festival Award going to Serbia’s EXIT Festival , who will celebrate their 15th Anniversary in 2014. B.my.Lake in Hungary took the Best New Festival title and FUSION Festival in Romania won the Best Small Festival Award . The host country of the awards also scooped an award with Holland’s Lowlands being named the Artists’ Favourite Festival . The Green Operations Award went to Way Out West in Sweden and Switzerland’s Paleo Festival won the new YES GROUP Health & Safety Innovation Award which recognises innovative ways festivals have enhanced health and safety within their spaces. -

KGaA, Bremen (hereinafter: CTS) from acquiring the majority of shares in each of the companies Four Artists Booking Agentur GmbH and Four Artists Events GmbH, both based in Berlin (hereinafter: jointly known as Four Artists), via a subsidiary of CTS. In the Bundeskartellamt’s view the planned merger would strengthen CTS’s dominant position on the multi-sided market for ticketing system services and thus significantly impede effective competition on this market. I. Background CTS is active in the areas of ticketing services and live entertainment. With its ticketing system EVENTIM.NET, the company offers promoters of live entertainment and advance booking offices ticketing system services and other ticketing services. CTS also operates the important online shop EVENTIM.DE and organises live entertainment events itself, especially rock/pop tours and concerts as well as festivals. Four Artists is also active in the area of live entertainment; it organises and finances concerts, events and open-air concerts, and provides event marketing and production services for events. It specialises in the organisation of festivals and tours and functions as a local promoter of tours organised by third companies. Moreover, as a booking agency Four Artists organises concerts for artists in Germany and provides corresponding services.
