This grant to Ultimate Medical Academy includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with other information, and the right to allow others to use or disseminate the media. 5 KEYNOTE SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY A poor upbringing from one of the roughest areas of Chicago didn’t stop Victor Antonio from earning a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, an MBA and building a 20 year career as a top sales executive and becoming CEO of a multimillion dollar high-tech company. Prior to being CEO, Victor was President of Global Sales and Marketing, a $420 million company. As Vice President of International Sales, in a Fortune 500 $3B corporation, Victor was selected from over 500 sales managers to join the President’s Advisory Council for excellence in sales and management. Victor is an author of 12 books, 20 sales training video programs and has shared the stage with top business speakers including: Rudy Giuliani, Zig Ziglar, Dr. Robert Schuller, Paul Otellini (CEO of Intel) and John May (CEO of FedEx Kinkos). 6 ALPHA BETA KAPPA National Honor Society Alpha Beta Kappa believes in the pursuit of truth and excellence in all fields and hopes to recognize institutions and individuals who have achieved and who hold forth the promise of future growth and service. ALPHA—The first letter of the Greek alphabet, stands for Athena, the goddess of Wisdom and patroness of the arts, crafts, and sciences. Alpha also means the first of anything and represents the brightest star in a constellation. BETA—The second Greek letter, represents Brasidas, a distinguished Spartan General who fought with courage, and who reminds us of our opportunity and duty to ‘fight the good fight.’ KAPPA—The tenth Greek letter, stands for Kudos, meaning glory, credit and praise. The persistently elevated level of layoffs are occurring as a spike in virus cases has forced six states to reverse their move to reopen businesses.     2012 Spring Short Course Far Western Championships Updates 2012 Spring Short Course FW Championships was held March 29 to April 1 at Morgan Hill. Far Western Championship was started at 1925. It has provided one of fastest and most prestigious venues for USA Swimming. Olympic and World Champions, including Michael Phelps, Janet Evans, Pablo Morales, Summer Sanders, Natalie Coughlin and Missy Franklin, have competed in this fast taper meet as age groupers. There were over 1700 swimmers with 175 teams from 11 states cross United State and Canada travel to San Francisco bay area to compete this short course FW championship. CDST had total of 12 swimmers participated in individual and relay events and ranked number 33 out of 175 teams. HIGHLIGHTS Kevin Cui - swam excellent at this FW meet. He placed second in 50Y breaststroke, third in 100Y breaststroke, fourth in 200Y breaststroke, fifth in 100Y IM, and eighth in 50Y Butterfly in Boys 11-12 Age Group. Andrew Lou – swam great with 8 th place finish in 100Y freestyle in Boys 13-14 Age Group. Jessica He – made final in 100Y IM in Girls 11-12 Age Group. Kevin Cui, Matthew Wang, Alex Zhou, and Andrew Nguyen – finished sixth in 200 freestyle relay, ninth in 200 medley relay, and tenth in 400 freestyle relay in Boys 11-12 Age Group. MEET RESULTS v 10 & Under Age Group Two swimmers have qualified for FW time standards in boys 10 and Under Age Group but only Jasper Wu entered the meet. He swam personal best time in 50Y freestyle. Jasper Wu, Michael Wang, Phillip Nguyen, and James He swam great at boys 10 & Under 200 medley relay (2:24.41) and 200 freestyle relay (2:04.39) all with personal best time splits.

Interestingly, I have just finished T reading The Year of Decision - 1846 by Bernard DeVoto. The coincidence is in some ways intentional because a Taylor schoolmate of mine from the 1950's, Dale Murphy, half jokingly recommended that I read the book as I was going to be making so many speeches during our sesquicentennial celebration. As a kind of hobby, I have over the years taken special notice of events concurrent with the college's founding in 1846. The opera Carman was first performed that year and in Germany a man named Bayer discovered the value of the world's most universal drug, aspirin.
