Acts of Kindness We would just like to say thankyou to those parents who have recently demonstrated acts of kindness on the playground towards others in the school community. This week in particular we witnessed parents offering support with a first aid situation, a parent giving up their umbrella to shield a mum and her newborn baby and a variety of parents who have supported with translation. It can be difficult to support others with the current social distancing guidelines, but these parents proved that it is possible to follow the rules and still be kind. Thankyou for being such great role models to our children. Harvest is a Christian festival when Christian people thank God for the food that has been grown on the land. Harvest around the world allows us to enjoy different foods at any time of year. In Britain, Harvest festivals are often celebrated in churches by bringing baskets of food. People enjoy singing, praying, listening and decorating the church. People try very hard to share food at this time of year too. Normally, Yr3 would present a Harvest Assembly at this time of year, but due to the restrictions this year, they would like to share some Harvest festival poems with you. The food bank is so grateful to people who can donate food at this time of year, so instead of making a collection at school, we are encouraging you to take gifts directly to your local food bank and send us some photos for the next newsletter.
