UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON MARCHING BAND TO PLAY FOR CINCINNATI BENGALS GAME
DAYTON, Ohio- The University of Dayton's Pride of Dayton marching band will be the featured performer at the Cincinnati Bengals' game against the Denver Broncos at 1 p.m.,
Sunday, Nov. 1.
The Pride of Dayton, under the direction of Douglas Whitten, will play the pre-game and half-time shows. Their pre-game show begins at 12:45 p.m. and will feature popular pieces such as "Get Ready for This" and "In the Stone." The half-time show has a jazz theme with songs such as "Caravan,"a piece by nouveau swing band Cherry Poppin' Daddies called "Zoot
Suit Riot," and a percussion feature modeled after the musical rhythm group Stomp.
The band will be accompanied by the Flyerettes, the Pride of Dayton's dance ensemble and flag corps who are directed by Maribeth Klejna.
