Dr. Jason K. Allen was elected to serve as fifth president of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Kansas City, Missouri, on October 15, 2012, and is one of the youngest presidents in all of American higher education. Since coming to Midwestern Seminary, he has led the institution to become one of the largest and fastest growing seminaries in North America. In addition to his role as President, Dr. Allen serves the institution in the classroom, as an associate professor for preaching and pastoral ministry. More broadly, he serves the church through his preaching and writing ministries as well. He is the author of two recently-released books, The SBC & the 21st Century (B&H Publishing) and Discerning Your Call to Ministry (Moody Publishing). Dr. Allen regularly posts essays on his website, jasonkallen.com, and hosts a weekly podcast, “Preaching & Preachers,” which can also be found at jasonkallen.com. Before coming to Midwestern Seminary, Dr. Allen served as a pastor, and as a senior administrator at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He and his wife, Karen, are both from Mobile, Alabama, and have five children: Anne-Marie, Caroline, William, Alden, and Elizabeth.

Dr. Doug Broome has served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Natchez, since March 2008. He has served over thirty years in pastoral ministry, having also pastored churches in Brookhaven, Waynesboro, and Yazoo City. Bro. Doug holds an undergraduate degree from Mississippi College and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. An avid reader, runner, and cyclist, Bro. Doug is also an accomplished track and cross country coach. Additionally, he is involved in the Natchez community, taking part in local events such as Angels on the Bluff and the Historic Natchez Tableaux. Bro. Doug is joined in ministry by his wife, Gwenette. They have one adult son, Bradley, who lives in the Jackson area.

Dr. Larry LeBlanc has served since 2005 as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Summit, Mississippi. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and his Doctor of Ministry in expository preaching from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Larry is a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He and his wife, Brooke, have two children, Mary Lindsey and Luke.

As a mission-driven institution, New Hope excels in ministries and missions, from as close as the church’s backyard all the way to Honduras and Africa. He was elected as the 18th President of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. in September 2014. Dr. Young has served the convention for over 15 years. He and his wife, Helen, are the proud parents of two daughters, Dr. Jerlen Nelson and Mrs. Kelli Elizabeth Hart. They have three granddaughters and two grandsons. Notes
