South Texas Health System is an integrated care system that comprises six unique hospitals, six freestanding emergency departments, multiple physician practices and a broad variety of outpatient services. We are on a journey to become nationally recognized for our clinical care and world-famous services. We are most proud to serve our friends and neighbors in the South Texas . The 630+ physicians who choose to practice medicine at South Texas Health System truly make us special. They bring forth the talent and dedication that bring to life our two surgical robots, our level two trauma program, our 3T MRI, our pediatric program, and our surgical services. Through our many educational affiliations, we are training the next generation of healthcare providers including physicians, nurses, therapists and others in the allied health science programs. Our 3000+ employees are dedicated to providing a positive experience within the hospitals. They also volunteer their time and expertise to support many nonprofit agencies, and generously donate money to support causes such as the United Way of South Texas and other social service entities. Our 495+ volunteers donated thousands of hours last year to making sure your fellow community residents and visiting tourists had the best experience possible.
