    Spice C2 Spice SE86 001 According to Ian Briggs and John Starkey the authors of the Golden Era: - “With the single exception of the Porsche 956/962, Spice Engineering was the premier constructor of competitive Group C and IMSA sportscars and during that time the team’s proprietor, Gordon Spice, won four consecutive world drivers titles .” The car was designed for Pontiac and had to resemble a Pontiac Fiero car in silhouette. Spice SE86 001 is the first all Spice Group C car and it has some superb history. Gordon Spice and Ray Bellm originally raced the car. They won the C2 class of the Group C World drivers Championship in 1986 and 1987. It is in this Cannons / Listerine livery that the car is running in today. In 1987 the car won the C2 class of the Le Mans 24 hour and also finished in 5th place overall. For the 1987 Le Mans race the car ran in the yellow Dianetique colours of their sponsor. It also raced in the opening races of the ’87 season in Cannons / Listerine colours winning at the Norisring, Nurburgring and Jarama races. After Le Mans the car raced at the Norisring with Gordon Spice and Ray Bellm before being transferred to Chamberlain Engineering who ran the car for the rest of the ’87 season. The Spice / Bellm combo used chassis 003 for the rest of the ’87 season. This chassis has contested 5 Le Mans 24-hour races between the period of 1986 and 1990. Although the car was based on a Pontiac Fiero they always ran with the popular Cosworth DFL (long stroke) engine.

Five customer-commissioned examples of the McLaren Senna GTR celebrate the five McLaren F1 GTRs that finished 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 13th in the 1995 running of the world’s toughest endurance race . Each finished in a unique hand-painted livery completed in more than 800 hours of painstaking craftsmanship . Two examples heading to the USA – one in Gulf livery and the other a spectacular ‘art’ car that required several thousand hours of work on its unique airbrush paintwork . Born from the track-only McLaren Senna GTR - the fastest-lapping car McLaren has ever made outside of Formula 1 . Uprated powertrain develops 833bhp and 590lb ft torque from recalibrated 4.0-litre twin- turbocharged V8 engine – an increase of 19bhp over the regular McLaren Senna GTR . Bespoke LM steering wheel features anodized gold gear shift paddles and control buttons; foot pedals are made from titanium nitride . Six-point racing harnesses fitted, with a GTR LM logo embroidered on the harness pads and also on the headrests . Distinctive five-spoke OZ Racing wheels; gold-coloured brake calipers and suspension wishbones, reminiscent of the original F1 GTR . ‘1 of 1’ dedication plaque featuring VIN number on each car, with provenance details of its 1995 Le Mans F1 GTR ‘twin’ etched on the carbon fibre sill .
