St. Michael Catholic Community | 800 85 St. SW, Calgary, AB T3H 4C7 | 403-249-0423 | www.saintmichael.ca Hail, full of grace! A L E N T E N P R A Y E R C A M P A I G N

There is a lot of upheaval in our world today. From illnesses such as the novel coronavirus, the economic and cultural crises that harm marriages and families, to the crises within the Church and the loss of faith especially among our young people, — our whole world is in need of the redemption that only our Lord can give.

During this penitential season of Lent, it is fitting that we Catholics heed the words of our Lord to his apostles: "Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing" (cf. John 15:5). Hence, we turn to him and abide in him through prayer, asking for the intercession of our Blessed Mother.

Lenten Prayer Campaign Beginning on March 15, the Third Sunday of Lent, and culminating on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord on March 25, we as a parish community shall enter into an intense and fervent period of prayer during the Hail, full of grace! Lenten prayer campaign. In doing so, we turn to the most perfect of our Lord — our Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary — whose free, perfect, and trusting yes to the Father we are called to imitate.

What do I need to do? From March 15 to 25, we challenge all parishioners to commit to praying the Rosary daily for the following particular intentions: For personal holiness, increase in faith, and greater trust in the Lord Jesus For people suffering from illnesses and victims of COVID-19 For families suffering financially due to the economic situation For couples experiencing difficulties in their marriage and for the welfare of their children

At the end of your Rosary, we strongly encourage you to pray the following devotions in addition: Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel ( Leo XIII) Memorare Prayer to St. Joseph

You can find the text to these devotions as well as a guide to praying the Rosary on the back page.

What happens after? During the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, we will be having daily Mass at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in St. Mary's Chapel. We invite you come to either one and unite your intentions and prayers to the holy sacrifice of the Mass. We are confident that in our Lord's mercy, our prayers have been heard and will be answered according to his time and purpose.

We then encourage you to persevere in your newfound habit of daily prayer and continue on the path of holiness, trusting in the graces obtained for us by our Blessed Mother.

"May it be done unto me according to your word." Luke 1:38 Prayers HAIL, FULL OF GRACE! A LENTEN PRAYER CAMPAIGN
