Carthy family agreeing to sign. Last year I was lucky enough to see Martin in a small pub in Walmer, the closest I had got before Happy Collecting, was seeing Eliza with thousands of others at a music festival. We have taken the forests issue to Sherwood and Robin Hood, plus we also found a few 1973 covers to double. No news on a Brian Austin signer at this point but we are working hard to get someone good. CAPTAIN HERMAN FLUEGEL

America has a great history of what are known as Patriotic covers, which are produced to raise funds for, and support, their forces, during war.

Captain Fluegel produced one of the best known series of these with the first cover on the 6th June 1944 D-Day completing this World War II collection 50 covers later when Japan surrendered.

Around 10 years ago we were having deliveries of these every day from America, but now supplies have disappeared. I have just bought in a collection of these which I think must have originally come from us (as the D-Day cover had been signed by Edward Gueritz).

If you could find them individually the costs would be over £2200, but we would like to keep this collection together so can offer for £1500.
