Documents noted with AR numbers can be viewed via Fort Ord AR online access tool at httJ2www.fortordcleanup.com . In that letter, you expressed concerns with the proposed remedial alternative of Land Use Controls (Alternative 2) for the Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) Training Area. The planned use for the MOUT Training Area includes tactical/law enforcement and emergency service provider training operated by Monterey Peninsula College (MPC). Since no additional munitions cleanup would be conducted under the proposed alternative, you were concerned about the residual risk from munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) that may remain in the property and the mitigation actions that may affect MPC's development plans and operation of the educational programs for the MOUT Training Area. You indicated MPC's preference for Alternatives 3 or 4 which include additional MEC removal and would result in some risk reduction.
