TA/1/278/0042 ANGUS COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE ANGUS COUNCIL (SPEED LIMITS AT BOWRIEFAULD, MUIRHEAD AND KIRRIEMUIR) (VARIATION) ORDER 201X 2018 DLB Head of Legal and Democratic Services Angus House Orchardbank Business Park FORFAR ANGUS COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE ANGUS COUNCIL (SPEED LIMITS AT BOWRIEFAULD, MUIRHEAD AND KIRRIEMUIR) (VARIATION) ORDER 201X Angus Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Sections 84(1) and 124(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (which Act of 1984 is hereinafter referred to as "the Act") and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf and after consultation with the Chief Constable, Police Scotland in accordance with Paragraph 20(1) of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby make the following Order:- 1. This Order may be cited as "The Angus Council (Speed Limits at Bowriefauld, Muirhead and Kirriemuir) (Variation) Order 201X" and shall come into operation on the ** day of ** Two thousand and eighteen. 2. The Order specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby varied and shall henceforth have effect subject to the amendments thereto specified and described in the said Schedule. In the ANGUS COUNCIL (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 1999, the Schedule annexed thereto is amended as follows:- A. In PART I - 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT (1) At Item D KIRRIEMUIR Before paragraph 1. Clova Road insert the following:- 1A. Cemetery Road North From its junction with West Hill Road generally southwards to the entrance to the Recreation Ground car park. B. In PART II - 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT (1) At Item 3A. BOWRIEFAULD In line 1 for the words ‘30 metres or thereby northwest of its junction with Dundee Street Letham’ substitute the words ‘60 metres or thereby southeast of its junction with Dundee Street Letham’ In line 3 for the words ‘700 metres’ substitute the words ‘ 790 metres’. (2) At Item 16. KIRRIEMUIR Delete paragraph (c) and substitute with the following:- (c) B955 - Kirriemuir - Clova Road From the junction of Slade Road with Lindsay Street (A926) northwestwards and northeastwards to the junction of Cortachy Road with Golf Road, a distance of 2.37 kilometres. After paragraph (f) insert the following:- (g) East Hill Road From its junction with Shielhill Road southwards and eastwards to a point 130 metres or thereby east of its junction with West Hill Road, a distance of 700 metres or thereby. (h) West Hill Road From its junction with Shielhill Road eastwards to its junction with East Hill Road. C. In PART III - 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT (1) At Item 14. CORTACHY ROAD, KIRRIEMUIR (B955) - this item is deleted. (2) At Item 15. SLADE ROAD, KIRRIEMUIR (B955) - this item is deleted. (3) Item 15A. LEYSMILL shall be re-numbered 14. LEYSMILL (4) Item 15B. LITTLE BRECHIN shall be re-numbered 15. LITTLE BRECHIN (5) After Item 19B. MONTROSE - FORFAR ROAD, MONTROSE (A934) insert the following:- 19C. COUPAR ANGUS ROAD, MUIRHEAD (A923) From a point 325 metres or thereby west of its junction with Newtyle Road (B954) westwards for a distance of 200 metres or thereby. .
