I Uttar Pradesh Shasan Nagar Vikas Anubhag-1 In pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no-2531/9-1-2020-497SA /2013,dated: DecemberA , 2020. NOTIFICATION No-2531/9-1-2020-497SA /2013 Lucknow- Dated: December20 , 2020 WHEREAS notification no.-2482/IX-1-2019-497 SA-13, dated December 28, 2019 was issued and published in the Gazette with a view to inviting objections and suggestions for issuance of notification for specifying the area mentioned in the Schedule below as the transitional area for constituting Nagar Panchayat Rajesultanpur in District Ambedkar Nagar as required under sub- section (1) of section 4 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 (U.P. Act no II of 1916); AND WHEREAS objections and suggestions received in pursuance of the said notification were disposed of vide Government order no- 1587/9-1- 2020-497SA /13 dated December 04 , 2020; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers under clause (2) of Article 243-Q of the Constitution read with section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 (U.P.Act no-II of 1916), the Governor having regard to the population of the area, the density of population therein, the revenue generated for the local administration, the percentage of employment in non- agricultural activities and the economic importance is pleased to specify that the local area the limits of which is given in the Schedule below, shall be a transitional area for the purpose of Part IX-A of the Constitution of India and there shall be constituted for the said transitional area a Nagar Panchayat to be known as Nagar Panchayat Rajesultanpur in District Ambedkar Nagar. Tropical Plant Research 3(1): 153–156] The lichen taxa collected from Uttar Pradesh are documented in different checklist, floristic, monographic and revisionary studies (Awasthi, 1980, 1988, 1991, 2000, 2007, Srivastava, 2004, Dubey et al. 2007, Singh & Sinha 2010, Karakoti et al. 2014, Gupta et al. 2015). Recently Nayaka & Upreti (2013) analyzed the status of lichen diversity in Uttar Pradesh which revealed the occurrence of 135 species belonging to 46 genera and 25 families. This state represented three distinct phytogeographical regions. The transitional belt running along the entire length of the state of Uttarakhand and country of Nepal is called the “Terai‟ and „Bhabhar‟ area and have thick forest cover, swamps and marshes. The Gangetic plain elongates the area from east to west is the most fertile as well as agricultural land. The southern fringe of the Gangetic Plains is demarcated by the Vindhya Hills and Plateau exhibit strong ground and low hills. Most of the central region of the state of Uttar Pradesh is most fertile and utilized for agriculture from the ancient time.

    District wise activities that can be taken up for Rejuvenation of Rivers with focus for support for migrant workers returning home Various works and activities involved in rejuvenation of small river in Ganga basin which are tributaries of River Ganga can be taken up under MGNREGA for generation of employment for migrant workers returning home. Accordingly, a total of 68 districts located in Ganga basin have been identified and small rivers and tributaries of River Ganga/ its tributaries have been shortlisted. Rejuvenation of these small tributaries forms an important component of rejuvenating River Ganga. Various activities have also been identified which can be implemented during pre-monsoon periods in the catchment of these rivers which will also help in rejuvenating these rivers. The potential areas for works programs to provide employment opportunities to them can be through MGNREGA, CAMPA & other funds for small river rejuvenation and afforestation. The components of work for small river rejuvenation may include desilting, construction of clean dam & other structures for water harvesting & storage, afforestation in the catchment, protection work for water bodies. The list of these activities have also been identified and given in the enclosed statement. The list of activities are not exhaustive but is illustrative as applicable for concept. These activities are such that they may not involve highly skilled manpower for their implementation. Even unskilled or semi-skilled manpower can be utilized for their implementation. Out of 73 districts, 34 districts (S No 1 to 34) fall in Uttar Pradesh while 20 are in Bihar (S No 35 to 54). Similarly, 5 in Jharkhand (S No 55 to 59), 12 districts are located in Madhya Pradesh (S No 60 to 71), and 2 in Rajasthan (S No 72-73).
