Ktm Charges Into New Year! 2014-01-07 10:18 CET KTM CHARGES INTO NEW YEAR! Ken Roczen, Ryan Dungey and Jason Anderson sweep the supercross season opener at Anaheim, California (USA) and Marc Coma leads the Red Bull KTM rally squad after the first stage of the Dakar 2014 in Argentina. Supercross Red Bull KTM Factory Team rider Ken Roczen delivered a top performance in the opening round of the 2013 AMA Supercross Championship to take his career first 450SX class win onboard his KTM 450 SX-F. Factory teammate Ryan Dungey, finished in the runner-up position at Angel Stadium in front of a sold out crowd. “This is an amazing feeling,” remarked Roczen. “Not only to get my first win but to get it at the opening round is amazing. I have been working very hard during the off-season and I am so glad the hard work has paid off. Congrats also to my teammate Ryan. It is great to share this moment on the podium with him.” Red Bull KTM Factory rider Dean Ferris earned 14th overall in his debut Supercross race. A big congratulation also goes out to Rockstar Energy KTM rider Jason Anderson who earned the holeshot in the 250SX class main event and went on to take the win aboard his KTM 250 SX-F race machine. Dakar Rally Red Bull KTM Factory rider Marc Coma launched his bid for a fourth Dakar Rally title when riders set out on Stage One of the world’s toughest rally race on Sunday. At the end of a long day Coma, riding the all new 450 cc rally machine, finished second to Joan Barreda of Spain just 37 seconds behind the leader. Further 720 km later after stage two the Spaniard currently is in 5th place. Coma said he took things relatively easy on Day One: "It was a bit tricky with just a special of 180 km and on the first day of the Dakar you don't yet really have the right feeling. But I am happy for what we managed today. I took things fairly easy but the race is long and this is just the beginning."All four of Coma's Red Bull KTM Factory teammates were within six minutes of the leader. Francisco 'Chaleco' López of Chile was well placed at sixth fastest, trailing only by 3:24 minutes. As second fastest rider overall on day, Lopez reduced the gap to the leader on day two to only 2 min. Ruben Faria finished eleventh fastest at 5:11 minutes and Jordi Viladoms was thirteenth at just under six minutes. Riders are competing on the brand new KTM 450 RALLY bike. ORGANISATION Edition #EDITION 2020 OCTOBER DATES 09 > 14 http:// rallyemaroc World Wide Web .com Edito This year, the Rallye du Maroc is being prepared under adverse circumstances. Indeed, this is an extremely challenging year for all of us and we are well aware of this. We are adapting the organization of the event as best as possible so that this World Rally Championship and life size rehearsal before Dakar is a success. The current health circumstances have forced us to make choices in order to protect the Moroccan people and the competitors by limiting contact and taking special measures. This year, the Rallye will be organized around an XXL bivouac near M’Hamid, south of Zagora. If the nomadic character is assessed under the current circumstances, the Rallye du Maroc remains faithful to its DNA: Be the most accessible international Rally Raid with categories designed for new adventurers, allowing them to progress at their own pace and means, alongside the best pilot and co-pilots in the world. Prepare effectively for the Dakar, whether it is a short-term project or a long-term goal. The Rallye du Maroc benefits from the “Road to Dakar” Label, thus meeting the demanding criteria in terms of safety and sports organization that this implies. Allow factory teams to prepare effectively for the Dakar. So many guarantees of quality for all participants, whatever their level, without sacrificing conviviality and shared experiences. We tend to repeat ourselves by quoting this sentence from Thierry Sabine, but it’s true: “The Rally is a race for amateurs where professionals have their place”.

  • The Monster Energy Mxgp of the Usa Makes the Curtain Call
THE MONSTER ENERGY MXGP OF THE USA MAKES THE CURTAIN CALL GLEN HELEN (United States), 16 September 2015 – It has been an epic season so far and this weekend one of the most famous motocross tracks in the world, Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California will host the final round of the FIM Motocross World Championship. The first time the FIM Motocross World Championship tackled the beast that is Glen Helen was back in 1990 where Belgian Eric Geboers was victorious. The motocross grand prix then returned again for the two years that followed, in 1991 and 1992, where French legend Jean-Michel Bayle headlined. Eighteen years after Bayle’s victory in ’92, MXGP returned where both world champions at that time Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Antonio Cairoli and Marvin Musquin won in their respective classes. What is exciting is that both Cairoli and Musquin will be racing this weekend while the winners of the most recent grand prix at Glen Helen, in 2011, Clement Desalle and Ken Roczen will not be onsite as they are both recovering from injuries. Yamaha Factory Racing Yamalube’s Romain Febvre has never raced in the USA and will be looking forward to put in some laps out here in Southern California. It will be interesting to see how he goes on the unfamiliar territory and with a lot of new names and faces on the gate. Hitachi Construction Machinery Revo KTM’s Shaun Simpson is one name that is recognized in the USA. Simpson, who raced a round of the American Nationals back in August, has been open about how pumped he is to return to the US for a grand prix.

  • The PEUGEOT 2008 DKR Clocks up Testing Kilometres in France
The PEUGEOT 2008 DKR clocks up testing kilometres in France As the countdown to the 2015 Dakar Rally begins to accelerate, the Peugeot- Total squad is continuing to develop the fearsome PEUGEOT 2008 DKR at a frenetic pace with its three star drivers, including Cyril Despres, who is getting to grips with competing on four wheels for the first time. From 7am, Team Peugeot-Total is in action. Like a commando unit on a mission, the mechanics invade the test centre at Château Lastours, where the PEUGEOT 2008 DKR is about to begin a new phase of its development – generating impatience and anticipation in equal measure. Every single minute counts. For the first time, the three crews that constitute Peugeot’s dream team will all take turns behind the wheel. Following shakedown tests at Freneuse, Montlhéry and Creusot elsewhere in France, the beast now has the opportunity to demonstrate its mettle across rocky terrain that offers a foretaste of the kind of adventure that awaits it in South America. Now that Carlos Sainz has drawn upon his experience to identify the inevitable initial teething troubles, his two new team-mates have also come along to help out. On the programme is validation of the modifications made to the chassis and cooling system. Stéphane Peterhansel settles into the high-perched cockpit of his new mount. The French multiple Dakar winner wastes little time in heading towards this track, which represents a real challenge – even for a vehicle that aspires to the life of a trailblazer. As the kilometres pass by, Stéphane confesses to experiencing a genuine culture shock: “Switching over to two-wheel-drive changes everything!” he cheerfully reflects.
