My late suicided childhood buddy(Tomo), who sold me his punk records for cheap when he went Northern Soul because 'Punk' had gone 'commercial';had a copy of The Fatal Microbes "Violence Grows" glued to the ceiling of his bedroom (his attempt at aesthetics I guess?) ; along with a few other singles/ceiling tiles I expressed a desire to purchase. I got 'Jocko Homo' by Devo on Stiff, 'Do the Standing Still' by The Table, "Sick Of You" by the Users, and Some Chicken's classic "New Religion/Blood on the Wall" The Fatal Microbes (correct 'Fatal' Microbes) were a teenage UK punk group that existed in the late 1970s. (Donna Tracey Boylan) was the lead singer. Other band members were siblings Gem Stone (Gemma Sansom) on drums, Pete Fender (Dan Sansom) later of and Omega Tribe and son and daughter of member Vi Subversa) on guitar, and Scotty Boy Barker (Scott Barker) who was briefly replaced as bassist by It (Quentin North). In 1979, Small Wonder and XNTRIX Records Fatal Microbes were an English band formed in 1978. The main line-up of the band consisted of Honey Bane on vocals, Gem Stone on drums, Pete Fender on guitar, and Scotty Barker on bass. The band's name is regarded as a reference to the theme of disgust and toxicity, explored and embraced by many punk rock acts in the late 1970s and early 1980.
