PAGE DEAR READERS, 4 I’m thrilled to present our National Geographic Kids Fall 2017 list. We are proud to be PAGE the only publisher with one of the world’s premier scientific, educational, and research 14 organizations at the core of everything we do. Our goal is to create books for children that spark their curiosity and inspire them to care about our planet. To do this, we rely on our proven formula of facts, photos, and fun! There could be no better example of this than our blockbuster Weird But True franchise, now more than 25 books strong. This season we’ve amped up the fun with the very festive Weird But True Christmas. If 300 wacky facts aren’t enough, not to worry, kids will be fascinated by 1,000 Facts About the White House, an inside tour of America’s most famous residence. We travel the globe and travel through time in two exciting new books. History’s PAGE Mysteries investigates cold cases and puzzles from the past. Then, roaring onto 13 shelves this season is the second edition of our bestselling Ultimate Dinopedia with updated scientific information and thirty new dinosaurs, many of which were discovered by our own National Geographic explorers. From dinosaur facts to hands-on science, we’ve got something STEM-related for everyone. In How Things Work: Inside Out! we take apart and look inside all kinds of familiar and far-out items. For those who want to find the perfect science fair project or like to tinker, we’ve got fifty experiments in Try This! Extreme. Of course, we wouldn’t PAGE be National Geographic without amazing animal photos. Hey, Baby! is a magnificent 3 treasury of meltingly cute animal images paired with lyrical text, poems, and more. It’s perfect both for quiet read-alone time and cuddling up together at story time. At National Geographic we believe in the awesome power of science, exploration, and storytelling. In these books we hope kids will find whatever excites them about our planet: fascinating facts, fun photos, awesome history, stimulating STEM, amazing animals, or just a good story.
