New On DVD & Blu-Ray Batman The Brave and Bold Season One, Volume One The Dark Knight returns for explosive action and humor in this four-episode collection from the all-new animated series. Venturing outside Gotham City, Batman (voiced by Diedrich Bader) battles fearsome foes with his endless arsenal of crime-fighting gadgets. A modest law-abiding citizen, Harry Brown is a retired Marine and a widower who lives alone on a depressed housing estate. His only company is his best friend Leonard (David Bradley). When Leonard is murdered by a gang of thugs, Harry feels compelled to act and is forced to dispense his own brand of justice. As he bids to clean up the run-down estate where he lives, his actions bring him into conflict with the police, led by investigating officer DCI Frampton (Emily Mortimer) and Charlie Creed-Miles. Sony Good Fortune Filmmaker Landon Van Soest profiles three poverty-stricken Kenyans to illustrate how the West's well-intentioned aid to Africa -- to the tune of more than $2 trillion over the last 50 years sometimes harms the individuals it's intended to help. Environmental policies restrict Oketch's fishing opportunities; Jackson's farm is threatened by agricultural development; and Silvia may lose her home and business when a squatter slum is "upgraded." A soldier at 19, drafter of the Declaration of the Rights of Man, prisoner of war these are but a few of the milestones that mark Lafayette's illustrious and stormy career. PBS When Worlds Collide Exploring the roots of Latino culture, this thought-provoking documentary transports viewers to the intersection of two vastly different worlds -- the "Old World" of European Spain and the "New World" of the Americas. Stops along the way include the Cerro del Tepeyac of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico, the bustling city of Granada in Spain's Andalusia region, and Philip II's Escorial palace outside of Madrid. HBO The Experiment Das Experiment screenwriter Mario Giordano works with writer/director Paul Scheuring to craft this remake based on the notorious Stanford Prison Experiment. A team of scientists are conducting a psychological experiment that requires the participation of 20 subjects. The rules are simple: one group of subjects will be assigned the role of prison guards, while the others will be assigned the role of inmates. Though the guards are specifically instructed to maintain order without the use of force, no one is prepared for what happens when mutiny erupts, and civility erodes.
