NEWS RELEASE UNIQLO Opens at Kungsträdgården on Friday, August 24 August 17, 2018, Stockholm, Sweden – The first UNIQLO store to open in Sweden is UNIQLO Kungsträdgården at Hamngatan 27 in Stockholm. The doors will open to the public at 11AM on Friday the 24th of August. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10.30AM led by Tadashi Yanai, UNIQLO Founder and Chairman, President & CEO of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd. The opening day will be celebrated with traditional Japanese Taiko drummers performing throughout the day, free gifts, prize draws and special limited offers. Adjacent to the King's Garden (Kungsträdgården), one of the most historical and popular parks in Stockholm, this 1,580-square-meter store covers four floors. In keeping with UNIQLO’s commitment through LifeWear to creating perfect clothing that meets the needs of everyone's daily lifestyles, the store will offer an array of LifeWear for men, women, and kids in diverse colors and designs. To celebrate the grand opening, the store will introduce special offers available from the 24th of August to 5th of September and giveaways throughout opening weekend (24/8-26/8): Giveaways: • Complimentary Cashmere Scarf for the first 200 customers waiting in line • Complimentary limited-edition tote bag for all purchasing customers on opening day • Fresh juices will be served from Jungle Juice, specially made matcha ice-cream from Stikkinikki, green ice tea from Yuko Ono and coffee from Albert & Jacks • Customers purchasing for more than 700 SEK will be able to take part in a Fukubiki (Japanese Raffle) – the grand prize in the raffle is a round trip to Tokyo on ANA.
