LAS VEGAS (June 16, 2014) – Having toured and performed to sold-out venues across the globe over the last 28 years, comedian Jeff Dunham will be calling Las Vegas his exclusive home with the announcement of his residency show “JEFF DUNHAM: Not Playing with a Full Deck” opening Friday, Nov. 28 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The show is produced by AEG Live.
Tickets for the first six months of performances scheduled for Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 through Sunday, May 31, 2015 will go on sale beginning Wednesday, June 18 at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets are $72 plus tax and fees and may be purchased in person at the Planet Hollywood Box Office, by calling (800) 745-3000 or online by visiting ticketmaster.com or jeffdunham.com.
Joining Dunham on stage in his new Las Vegas home is his famed troupe of sidekicks: Walter the Grumpy Retiree, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, redneck Bubba J, the manic purple creature Peanut, the spicy pepper from south of the border José Jalapeño, and Peanut’s own ventriloquist dummy Little Jeff, a mini-version of the ringmaster himself. They may have all been conceived and hand crafted by Dunham, but his characters, who are anything but dummies, have now taken on a life of their own, each with their own legion of fans.
“After being on the road for 28 years, it will be a welcomed pleasure to anchor my show in a permanent location in Las Vegas beginning in November,“ said Jeff. “I'm very much looking forward to welcoming our fans from all around the world in our new home at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.”
Dunham’s fascination with ventriloquism began at age eight. Today, he is a phenomenally successful global entertainment brand with television specials and series that have been the highest rated programming in Comedy Central history, DVD sales that have surpassed seven million units, and videos that have exceeded a half a billion views on YouTube. His live concerts have become mega-events played in front of sold-out arenas worldwide that even Guinness World Records took notice and recently named Dunham as the world record holder for “Most Tickets Sold for a Stand-up Comedy Tour,” for his “Spark of Insanity” tour which sold 1,981,720 tickets and played 386 venues around the world.
“JEFF DUNHAM: Not Playing with a Full Deck” will play six shows a week Wednesday through Sunday with 7 p.m. performances Wednesday through Saturday and late-afternoon matinees at 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Matinees on Sunday will change to 3 p.m. beginning Feb. 8. There will be some exceptions to performance days based on holiday schedules.
