For the period of Sunday, February 9, 2020 through Saturday, February 15, 2020, the Police Department responded to 522 calls for service. One residential burglary, zero commercial burglaries, and zero attempt residential burglaries occurred during the reporting week. The following is a summary report of the key incidents handled by the Department during this reporting period.

11:41 A.M. / WARRANT ARREST / HUNTINGTON DRIVE/ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD: Vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation; officers ran records check of the driver, who returned with an outstanding warrant out of Pasadena. Pasillas, Mariela (DOB 05/14/1991, Alhambra), was issued an own recognizance citation at the request of the Pasadena Police Department.

5:20 P.M. / CVC 20002/ NON-INJURY HIT & RUN/ 2900 BLOCK OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE: Unknown subject collided with the victim’s parked vehicle and left the scene.

8:20 P.M. / PC 532 / FALSE PRETENSES / 1400 BLOCK OF OLD MILL ROAD: Unknown suspect used a false listing for an apartment. The suspect requested money be sent to them prior to the victim seeing the apartment, without the intention of providing the apartment.

10:32 A.M. / PC 470 / FORGERY-PUBLIC RECORDS / 700 BLOCK OF CHAUCER ROAD: Unknown suspect(s) forged the victim’s signature on two loan escrow documents.

12:52 P.M. / PC 487/ GRAND THEFT/ 500 BLOCK OF LA PAZ DRIVE: Unknown suspects drove up to the victim’s parked vehicle and removed gardening equipment out of the unsecured bed of the victim’s pick-up truck. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.

1:46 P.M. / WARRANT ARREST / EL MOLINO AVENUE/MISSION STREET: Vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation; officers ran records check of the driver, who returned with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Pasadena. Gutierrez, Olivia (DOB 01/27/1976, Baldwin Park), was issued an own recognizance citation at the request of the Pasadena Police Department.

2:45 P.M. / 901T/ TRAFFIC COLLISION WITH INJURIES/ 1700 BLOCK OF SAN GABRIEL BOULEVARD: A moving vehicle collided with a parked vehicle. One party sustained visible injuries, but refused medical attention.

7:02 P.M. /PC 459/ RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY / 1000 BLOCK OF ST. ALBANS ROAD: Unknown suspect(s) gained access to the property through an open rear kitchen window and targeted two rooms in the residence. No items were taken from the home.

5:19 A.M. / 902T / NON- INJURY TRAFFIC COLLISION / GRANADA AVENUE/HUNTINGTON DRIVE: A non – injury traffic collision occurred.

12:28 P.M. / PROPERTY FOR DESTRUCTION / 2900 BLOCK SHEFFIELD ROAD: Ammunition for destruction.

1:47 P.M. / PC 484G / FORGERY / 1200 BLOCK OF WINSTON AVENUE: Unknown suspect(s) obtained the victim’s bank information and made a fraudulent transaction.

5:12 P.M. /PC 459/ BURGLARY TO A VEHICLE/ 1400 BLOCK OF VIRGINIA ROAD: Unknown suspect(s) used unknown tool to break a window to the victim’s parked vehicle, taking a backpack containing a laptop. The suspect(s) then smashed a window to a second vehicle near the same location.

5:12 P.M. /PC 459/ BURGLARY TO A VEHICLE/ 1400 BLOCK OF VIRGINIA ROAD: Unknown suspect(s) used unknown tool to break a window to the victim’s parked vehicle, the victim is unsure if any items were taken.

11:17 P.M. / H&S 11364A / POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA / STONEMAN AVENUE/HUNTINGTON DRIVE: Officers made contact with a subject who was slumped over a shopping cart, in possession of drug paraphernalia. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Solano, Samuel (DOB 06/30/1993, Moreno Valle) was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Solano, was subsequently arrested and released on an own recognizance citation.

12:04 A.M. / CVC 14601.1 / DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE / LOS ROBLES AVENUE/MARENGO AVENUE: Vehicle was stopped for multiple traffic violations. During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that the driver Harris, Lamont (DOB 05/16/1992, Altadena), was driving on a suspended license. Driver was issued an own recognizance citation.

8:54 A.M. / DOG BITE / LORAIN ROAD/WINDSOR ROAD: Female subject and her dog were attacked by a dog who was not on a leash.

9:18 A.M. / FOUND PROPERTY/ GRANADA AVENUE/WILSON AVENUE: A passerby found a key ring with multiple keys.

4:33 P.M. / 902T / NON- INJURY TRAFFIC COLLISION / GRANADA AVENUE/HUNTINGTON DRIVE: Two vehicles were involved in a non-injury traffic collision. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. 8:15 P.M. WARRANT ARREST/ 2500 BLOCK OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE: Officers responded to the above location regarding a number of unknown subjects smoking and talking loud. Officers ran a records check on all subjects and Essakhan, Vazrick (DOB 09/08/1988, Glendale) returned with an outstanding felony warrant out of the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department. Essakhan was placed under arrest and transported to the Alhambra City Jail for booking and housing.

3:00 P.M. / WARRANT ARREST / 1300 BLOCK OF WESTHAVEN ROAD: Vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation, officers ran a records check of the driver, who returned with an outstanding no bail warrant from the Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department, Industry Station and a second warrant out of the Los Angeles Police Department. Galarze, Susan Marie (DOB 09/25/1974, Los Angeles), was placed under arrest and transported to the Alhambra City Jail for booking and housing.

9:14 P.M. / CVC 14601.1 / DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE / LOS ROBLES AVENUE/OAK STREET: Vehicle was stopped for multiple traffic violations. During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that the driver Huizar, Matthew (DOB 10/19/1987, Glendale), was driving on a suspended license. Huizar was issued an own recognizance citation.

10:10 P.M. / PC 459 / BURGLARY TO A VEHICLE/ 2500 BLOCK OF OAK KNOLL: Unknown suspect(s) used a piece of porcelain taken from a sparkplug and shattered the victim’s rear passenger side window.

8:10 A.M. PC 487A & PC 484G / GRAND THEFT FROM VEHICLE AND FRAUD- CREDIT CARDS/ 900 BLOCK OF AFTON ROAD: Unknown suspect(s) stole two purses containing tax paperwork, new bank card, and two checks from the victim’s vehicle. The unknown suspect(s) used the bankcard at several locations.

9:38 A.M. / CVC 20002/ NON-INJURY HIT & RUN/ 2000 BLOCK HUNTINGTON DRIVE: Unknown subject collided with the victim’s vehicle and left the scene.
