Each tournament site will conduct 2 sessions – a morning session and an afternoon session. Both genders from a school will bowl in a pod of lanes (4 lanes). The 4 schools bowling in the morning session are those closest to the site. The host school will be one of those schools assigned. The 3-4 schools bowling in the afternoon session are those the farthest from the site. Competition will include 3 American Tenpin Games and 4 Baker Games. The state qualifiers will be determined based on results from both sessions. State qualifiers will be announced from the KSHSAA as soon as results are received from the tournament manager. They will be posted on the website. NOTE: With the exception of the first-place team at each site, the 5-1A state qualifiers will not be available until all 7 tournaments are completed - 2/26. 1 of 2 REGIONAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION If you have not received tournament information from your regional site manager, please visit with your athletic director. Important details included will be: entries and pass gate timeline, spectators allowed/not allowed, etc. Please share info received as needed. REGIONAL ENTRIES DUE FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19 KSHSAA Forms BWL-1 & 3 (Boys) and BWL-2 & 4 (Girls) are due to your tournament manager Fri. 2/19. REGIONAL LANE ASSIGNMENTS Participating schools will be seeded/placed on lanes by combining the team average of both boys and girls. Single gender schools will be handled in the same manner. Using the above diagram as a guide, place the school with the highest average on lanes 9-12; the 2nd highest average on lanes 15-18; 3rd highest on lanes 3-6; 4th on lanes 21-24. Each school gender will bowl on 2 lanes. Although bowling side by side, coaches may determine their groups of 3 and order of competition. WEB STREAMING FOR POSTSEASON BOWLING (REPEAT) Given the nature of competition for bowling, having a single broadcast is not feasible. However, the KSHSAA will allow each school to provide their own web stream for their patrons. One person from your school (suggest it be team manager) will be allowed to set up a camera, tablet, or phone to stream their competition. Schools shall make their own arrangements accordingly as far as equipment and internet (mobile hot spot). Parents streaming from their phones to social media is prohibited. Schools shall communicate appropriately where patrons can view the web stream. This will be at no cost to the school. COACH LIMITS @ POSTSEASON (REPEAT) Because of social distancing and limited attendance at postseason bowling tournaments, school teams are limited to 2 COACHES ONLY at both regional and stae tournaments. At the state tournament, individual qualifying bowlers will be allowed 1 COACH ONLY. If a school qualifies 3 individual bowlers, they may have 2 coaches.
