A cantora norte americana, vencedora de um Brit Award, irá atuar dia 10 de julho no Palco Heineken. Kelis irá apresentar no Passeio Marítimo de Algés o seu novo registo de estúdio, “Food”, editado no passado mês de abril. O nome forte do R&B, reconhecida por êxitos como “Trick me” e “Milkshake”, apresentou dia 28 de abril o seu sexto longa duração, que conta com a produção de Dave Sitek, dos TV on the Radio. Com uma sonoridade que passa pelo jazz, groove, soul e funk, o álbum “Food” tem sido fortemente aplaudido pela crítica e pelos fãs. Após 15 anos de carreira, Kelis já viu o seu trabalho reconhecido com um BRIT Award, na categoria de “Artista revelação internacional”, e contou com nomeações nos Grammy Awards, bem como nos MTV Europe Music Awards. Hiburan sendiri dapat didefinisikan sebagai situasi atau aktivitas apapun yang dapat menimbulkan rasa senang. Alternatif pilihan sumber-sumber yang dapat digunakan untuk memperoleh hiburan bisa diperoleh dari berbagai media seperti di antaranya: televisi, internet, buku, musik, dan lain sebagainya. Bentuk hiburan semakin beragam dan salah satu di antaranya yaitu bentuk hiburan dengan mengidolakan sesuatu, seseorang, sekelompok tertentu yang kemudian berlanjut ke arah perilaku fanatisme terhadap sesuatu yang diidolakan tersebut atau fenomena pengidolaan. Fenomena pengidolaan kini terjadi di berbagai lapisan masyarakat, hal tersebut terjadi karena idola seringkali menjadi referensi yang dapat menyediakan sumber identifikasi bagi para penggemarnya. Perilaku pengidolaan menurut Raviv (dalam Dita & Bagus, 2012:54) disebut dengan worship yaitu bentuk kekaguman dengan intensitas berlebihan dalam memberikan penghormatan terhadap sosok idola. Semakin tinggi tingkat pengidolaan/worship seseorang, semakin tinggi tingkat keterlibatan dengan sosok yang diidolakan (celebrity involvement). Tingkat keterlibatan tersebut bisa tersalurkan dalam berbagai macam cara, salah satunya adalah dengan mengidentifikasikan diri ke dalam suatu budaya penggemar. Budaya penggemar inilah yang sering kali disebut sebagai fandom. Fandom merupakan sebutan lain dari sekelompok penggemar atau fans. Istilah “Fandom” berasal dari kata bahasa Inggris Fan (penggemar) dan ditambah dengan akhiran -dom.
