See this famous river town from the boat that bears the name of its most famous citizen…Mark Twain. Enjoy one-hour sightseeing cruises with commentary on river history, legends and sights, riverboats and even see Jackson’s Island, Lover’s Leap and the mighty Missis- sippi River rolling along. Beverages of your choice and sandwiches available at the snack bar. Evening dinner cruises (two hours) feature roast beef and seasoned baked chicken breast. Live entertainment. The tour route is lit and walkways are level and smooth. Tour times are customer driven. The cave is a constant 52°, so bring a jacket! Experience Cameron Cave! This cave, discovered in 1925, has been preserved in its natural state. The 80-minute long tour is conducted by fashlight. The tour focuses on cave information and formations. The tour does include a 1/4 mile hike up to the cave entrance and back. Take a guided tour of a turn-of-the-century Gilded Age Mansion and see the Main Hall where Mark Twain addressed 300 of Hannibal Society from the Grand Staircase during his last visit to Hannibal in June of 1902. Rockcliffe Mansion is a grand residence originally built on 10 acres, situated on a large limestone bluff, with spectacular views, overlooking the Mississippi River and the town of Hannibal. The home was built between 1898 and 1900 by lumber baron, John J. Cruikshank, Jr., for his wife and four daughters. Rich in architectural detail, and decorated in a late Victorian style, most of the original antique furnishings, hardware, lighting, plumbing fxtures and clothing from the Cruikshank family are preserved and on display. After being abandoned for 43 years, and just days before demolition, the mansion’s 30 rooms were saved, and are now open to the public for guided tours.
