BOKU-IT BOKUdrive – Sync and Share Online Storage At https://drive.boku.ac.at members of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences have access to a modern Sync and Share online storage facility. The data of this online storage are stored on servers and in data centers of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences. The solution is technically based on the free software "Seafile". Users can access their data via a web interface or synchronize via desktop and mobile clients. Seafile offers similar features to popular online services such as Dropbox and Google Drive. The main difference is that Seafile can be installed as open source software on its own servers and its data is stored completely on servers and in data centers of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences. Metadata facilitates the reuse of data by third parties and makes it citable in new research contexts and for new research questions. However, better tools are needed to help the researchers add metadata and prepare their data for publication. These tools should integrate well in the existing research workflow of the scientists, to allow metadata enrichment even while they are creating, gathering or collecting the data. In this thesis an existing data publication tool from the project DARIAH-DE was connected to a proven file synchronization software to allow the researchers prepare the data from their personal computers and mobile devices and make it ready for publication. The goal of this thesis was to find out whether the use of file synchronization software eases the data publication process for the researchers. Odoo installation This guide will not cover the Odoo installation in itself, we suggest you read the installation documentation on the official website. You can also, and it’s probably the easier way, use an Odoo Docker image like https://hub.docker.com/ _/odoo/ or https://hub.docker.com/r/tecnativa/odoo-base/ Due to the extensive use of ssh, Clouder is only compatible with Linux. Once your Odoo installation is ready, install the paramiko, erppeek and apache-libcloud python libraries (pip install paramiko erppeek apache-libcloud), download the OCA/Connector module on Github and the Clouder modules on Github and add them in your addons directory, then install the clouder module and clouder_template_odoo (this module will install a lot of template dependencies, like postgres, postfix etc...). -

Rclone Mount using Systemd This guide is for advanced users only and it serves as a guide for you to use rclone. The systemd files here are the recommended settings for our slots and will subject to change whenever there are new configurations that are appropriate for the slots. You may visit the community discord server for help. Please make yourself aware of the Ultra.cc Fair Usage Policy. It is very important not to mount your Cloud storage to any of the premade folders, this creates massive instability for both you and everyone else on your server. Always follow the documentation and create a new folder for mounting. It is your responsibility to ensure usage is within acceptable limits. Ignorance is not an excuse. Please do not mount to any of the default directories such as: files media bin .apps .config www /homexx/username/ or any pre-created directory found on your Ultra.cc Slot Rclone's Mount allows you to mount any of your cloud storage accounts as part of your slot's file system using FUSE. In this guide, we will teach you how to run a rclone mount using systemd. Take note that this guide is setup using Google Drive as the cloud storage provider used. Should you use any other cloud storage providers, you may need consult rclone documentation for the appropriate flags for your setup. -

Autor: Daniel Proode 18.05.2020 2 Annotatsioon Bakalaureusetöös uuritakse nelja erinevat isemajutatavat pilvsalvestustarkvara ning võrreldakse nende omadusi. Töö raames uuritakse üksnes antud tarkvarade tasuta versioone. Lisaks annab töö ülevaate isemajutatavate pilvsalvestustarkvarade olemusest ja hetkel TalTech IT Kolledžis kasutusel olevast pilvsalvestuslahendusest. Ühe uurimismeetodina on töös kasutusel küsitlus, mille käigus selguvad IT Kolledži üliõpilaste ning õppejõudude nõuded ja ootused uuele pilvsalvestuslahendusele. Töö analüüsiosas kirjeldatakse tarkvarade Nextcloud, ownCloud, Pydio ning Seafile omadusi ja võrreldakse neid tabelis. Samuti selgitatakse välja IT Kolledžile sobivaim pilvsalvestustarkvara, lähtudes küsitluses selgunud kooli üliõpilaste ning õppejõudude nõudmistest ja soovidest. Sobivaim tarkvara juurutatakse prototüübina virtuaalmasinale, mis asub IT Kolledži võrgus olevas serveris. Prototüüp ühendatakse Uni-ID ja IT Kolledžis kasutusel oleva pilvsalvestusteenusega. The 5th edition of this conference marks an important milestone and there are some reflections that we would like to share with you. Five years ago, the CS3 community simply did not exist. Cloud storage technologies were a convenient extension of traditional storage technologies. Universities, National Research and Education Networks, and Research Centres were all exploring this area by adopting solutions proposed by a few innovative emerging companies, many of them from Europe. Cloud storage was immediately a success: all the installations have grown by leaps and bounds as the number of active users and number of files per user increased. More importantly though, cloud storage has become a vital part of our day-by-day activities. This success triggered the need for reflection on scalability, data durability and overall sustainability – all of these areas are still progressing, as illustrated by the abstracts collected at this conference. At the time of the first conference, the actual potential was probably not entirely clear but the conference became the forum to exchange experiences and ideas, and to advance together in this new and exciting domain. Five years hence, and the understanding of cloud storage technology, its maturity and the extension of its usage is continuously increasing. -

Data and voice mobile services and unmanaged fixed data services fueled revenue growth for integrated SPs, but have left a gap in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA).
