YANKEE STADIUM TO HOST PRESS CONFERENCE ON FRIDAY, APRIL 9, TO ANNOUNCE “STADIUM SLUGFEST” BETWEEN YURI FOREMAN AND MIGUEL COTTO

On Friday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m., Yankee Stadium, along with Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum, Chairman of Top Rank, will host a press conference on the Field Level concourse behind home plate to announce the “Stadium Slugfest,” an upcoming world title fight between undefeated World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight champion Yuri Foreman and three-time world champion Miguel Cotto to take place at the Stadium this summer. Foreman, Cotto and Arum will be available for one-on-one interviews following the press conference.

All media may enter the Stadium beginning at 10:30 a.m. through the Press Gate, adjacent to Gate 4 (corner of Jerome Ave. and E. 161st St.). Lunch will be served to all media in attendance following the completion of the press conference.

TIME: PRESS GATE OPENS AT 10:30 AM PRESS CONFERENCE BEGINS AT 11:00 AM

PLACE: YANKEE STADIUM, ON THE FIELD LEVEL CONCOURSE BEHIND HOME PLATE Press enter through Gate 4 Press Gate (corner of Jerome Ave. and E. 161st St.).

Media outlets wishing to cover the press conference with a daily credential should submit their request by sending an email to [email protected] with “BOXING PRESS CONFERENCE” in the subject line by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8. Applications must be completed by a Sports Editor or Sports Director. Media with a 2010 Yankees Full Season credential will be permitted to cover the event and need not to apply for a daily credential.

Parking: Media are recommended to park in Lot B, located on the corner of River Ave. and 164th St. Cost will be $19.
