Nine participants competed in the 10-round competition, but it was ultimately Abigail Venegas who clinched the championship with the word "ALTITUDE." This is Abigail's second year to win the competition. Abigail, with the support of the runner-up, Ryan Rahbarzare, will go on to represent BMHS at the Area 4 Spelling Bee on Jan. 30 at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden Lecture Hall.
