The great founder of Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan. Late.Shri.Manohar(Mama) Phalke, Ex M.L.C and Labour Leader, took over the task of accomplishing Dada’s dream of spreading Engineering education. PVPPCOE is an Engineering College in Mumbai, which is affiliated to University of Mumbai. The college is approved by the Government of Maharashtra, Directorate of Technical education (DTE) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college conducts Degree courses leading to B.E. Degree in the disciplines of Engineering Courses in Electronic, Computer, Electronic & Telecommunication and Information Technology which are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA)(during 15/3/12 to 14/3/15). 5 Our Theme One of the great minds to walk on this earth -- Charles Darwin -- gave us the concept of Evolution and Natural Selection. Technology has gone through the same steps although artificially, not naturally. But nonetheless technology has come very far to give us some of the most amazing things in use. From Vaccum Tubes to Transistors; from manual transmission cars to computerised self-driving cars; from basic number crunching computers to Artificial Intelligence. One of the main reason we are hoisting the Evolution theme in Fusion 2k17 is to find and embrace the talent amongst the future generation of Engineers. We believe in working towards the greater good of humanity by appreciating the work and sacrifices made by some of the great minds of the past. About the Fusion 2017 Fusion is the annual cultural festival of Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil Pratisthan’s College of Engineering. VASANTDADA PATIL PRATISHTHAN'S COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND VISUAL ARTS Training & Placement Depa2rtment 1 VPPCOE&VA, VPPCOE&VA classrooms. The thrist for knowledge and love of learning thrive at the institute both, students and teachers. VPPCOE&VA VPPCOEVAVPPCOEVAVPPCOE&VA, MUMBAI Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan's College Of Engineering And Visual Arts (VPPCOE&VA), VPPCOE&VA, The new frontiers of engineering have a significant impact on engineering education. It is important to examine and debate the future directions of engineering education. I have been an educationist in the field of engineering for over twenty years now for engineering and the needs of the 21st century, it is important to educate engineers to think across different subject areas. To my mind an educational institute is not just about bricks, mortar and concrete, but about building a character, enriching minds and about enriching experiences that last a lifetime, Life is not a set of instructions but a series of experiences and learning processes. Engineering is not an exception. This is where "Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan's College Of Engineering And Visual Arts (VPPCOE&VA)" steps in, to make a difference and where learning is not just a series of instructions but a passion which goes beyond books, beyond instructions, beyond learning horizons. With student strength of 2000 plus for total of seven departments, that is Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Bachelor of Fine Art (Applied Art), Bachelor of Fine Art (Painting), B. Vocational Interior Design at undergraduate level of Engineering and Arts, the efforts are directed to accommodate and address the expectations of each and every student by way of enabling them to participate in the technical seminars, workshops organized in and out of the institute.
