Sister had me stand up and tell my name and where my family had lived before moving to Dearborn. Every day after that as they said prayers out loud, I practiced trying to say words to sound like they did. Little by little I sounded more OK. I especially enjoyed being a cheerleader and am a huge sports fan to this day.
