He writes fun and sexy romance novels with smart characters that make for steamy and light-hearted reads with their happy endings and humor. Even though he ventured into a genre dominated by women he has been relatively successful and has four top 100 bestsellers on Amazon. His debut novel was “Playing Dirty” of the “Ballers” series of novels. Since then, he has become a prolific author with more than twenty-one works in the “Ballers,” “Blackwell,” “Windy City Bad Boys,” “Love Games” and “Brewer Brothers” series. Miller has had varied experiences that have included working as a teacher and high school coach, peace corps volunteer in South America and collegiate athlete. While he is a prolific author, he still holds a 9 to 5 job and still manages to have other hobbies. When he is not writing his novels, he loves to play basketball and baseball. He still likes to travel though he has not done much traveling recently because he does not have the time for it. Miller had an artistic bent from very early on though he preferred improv writing and screenwriting to writing fiction novels. He still has a manuscript for a screenplay he wrote along the lines of “Sex and the City” but from a male perspective. Since he could not find any traction in screenwriting, he decided to try his hand in romance writing and was surprised to find a captive audience. However, his journey to publishing was not so easy and he almost gave up several times. He had always wanted to pursue a career as an author and for some time he thought about pursuing a major in journalism when he went to college. For a while, he lost some of the confidence he had in the early years and thought he would not make it as a professional author. After his screenplay failed to garner any attention, he decided to shift gears and do some romance writing. It took nearly ten months to finish writing the manuscript that he asserted even he did not like enough. He then sat back down and penned the script for “Playing Dirty,” which took him about six weeks. This was the breakthrough that he needed as he finally got the novel self-published in Amazon. Once he got a few sales, his confidence returned in spades and he has never looked back since. In a recent interview, he asserted that the secret to his success is the fact that he puts a lot of effort into his work. The reason for this is that his work is more likely to undergo greater scrutiny since he is writing romance from a male perspective. Mickey Miller’s debut novel “Playing Dirty” is a beautiful story of love between Jake and Andrea. Jake is a major league baseball pitcher and one of the hottest men in pro sports. But he has a reputation as a frat boy, heavy drinker, and playboy that never found the time to grow up. The franchise owner thought it would be better if they cleaned up his image and hence, he gets a PR firm to help get him back on track. But the man could not care what anyone thought of him as the only thing that is important to him is winning. Andrea is a young intern at the PR firm hired to clean up Jake’s image. She was brought up in a small town in Tennessee and is a very conservative girl. The boss believes she would be perfect for their most difficult client and gives her the assignment of persuading Jake to become more responsible. For Jake, the young woman is just another conquest in a long line. Andrea knows that she must be a professional but the more time he spends with the charming man, the more she cannot help herself. She is beginning to see things in him that no one else can see. But even though she is falling for Jake she knows that getting into a relationship with a client is a serious breach of protocol that she may pay a heavy price for. But then an ex-boyfriend comes onto the scene and not only threatens their relationship but something that means a lot to her client – his career. “The Casanova Experience” by Mickey Miller is an exhilarating romance novel that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. For Chandler and Amy, it was supposed to be just animalistic, satisfying, sweaty and mind-blowing sex for a week. It was a no strings attached relationship but he had made the mistake of showing her what it was to be with a man and given her the best week of her life. He has wined and dined her, taken her on excursions out of town and VIP tickets to his basketball games in what was a full Casanova experience. Amy believes he is just being nice and trying to make her feel bad since he knows about her bad relationships over the last five years. She never thought that he had been thinking about her nonstop in all that time and now wants a lifetime commitment. But then Amy starts falling for him and tells him she never had anyone like him. But there is one complication – while they are the best of friends, she does not know about his Casanova past and the skeletons in his closet. What he does not know is that she also has secrets and this is sure to be one hell of a ride. Eva Napleton the lead of Mickey Miller’s “Dirty Trick” was introduced in the debut “Playing Dirty.” She is a sassy and feisty spitfire who works for the DEA as a psychologist. She has a reputation as a good girl but what people do not know is that there is a bad girl inside her wanting to come out and have some fun. She comes out in the form of Alexa an alter ego when she is out one night and she has the fun she wanted with Corbin a sexy bad boy with tattoos. She does not think she will ever see him again until weeks later he bumps into him at her workplace. It would have been bad enough if he was a fellow DEA agent but she learns that he is an ex-drug dealer that had once been convicted. He is now working with the DEA to infiltrate and bust the biggest drug kingpin in the region. Further complicating matters, she is informed that she will be working directly with Corbin as their newest criminal informant. Miller writes in his classic humorous tones and trademark chemistry between the characters that make for a funny, sexy and adrenaline-fueled ride. ‘The Substitute’ – Mickey Miller.
