McGurk 2009 1 The Rochester Sentinel 2008 Tuesday, January 1, 2008 No Paper-Holiday Wednesday, January 2, 2008 Donna Jean Bowyer Dec. 22, 1936 – Dec. 31, 2007 Donna Jean BOWYER, 71, New Carlisle, formerly of Rochester, passed away at 1 p.m. Monday at Miller’s Merry Manor, New Carlisle. Donna was born on Dec. 22, 1036, in Rochester to Art and Helen Louise (Toby) Thompson. Donna Jean enjoyed playing bingo and bowling. She loved her horses and cats. She was previously employed with American Rubber in LaPorte, Dee’s Truck Stop in Rolling Prairie and had retired from Easy Heat in New Carlisle. In 1956, in Rochester, as Donna Jean Thompson, she married Junior Bowyer, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Patty (Bill) Kingery of Fulton, and Lorraine (Larry) Norman of Akron; one brother, Dave Thompson of Rochester; and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Hudkins. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert St., New Carlisle. Friends may also call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, with Dr. Mark Spencer officiating. Friends also may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in the Odd Fellows 2 Cemetery, Rochester.
