It is a Fairhill tradition that stories, both humorous and sweet, are compiled for each graduating student and read at the commencement. This year, Class of 2017 students and parents developed a similar segment for Melinda Cameron, reflecting her hard work and her dedication to Fairhill students: “This last Falcon is the reason why we are all here. Her kindness and wisdom is apparent whether she’s dealing with a broken lanyard, a broken rule, or a broken heart. She is our most loyal cheerleader and strongest supporter. She’s the first one to school and the last one to leave. She pops popcorn, calls volleyball games, decorates dances, she travels around the world, and goes far beyond her call of duty, so that her students can have the best school experience possible. Melinda Cameron, you will be greatly missed. We are just a handful of the hundreds of students and educators that have learned from your example. May you never lose your sense of humor, may your beloved Razorbacks find favor, and may you always find a dance floor to strut your moves. Thank you for all of your years of service.
