Avendo faticosamente risalito la scala sociale, provenendo lui stesso dalla strada, Prem non ama l’idea di dover dividere la ribalta del Milionario con qualcuno come lui, e rifiuta di credere che un ragazzo dei quartieri poveri possa sapere tutte le risposte. Arrestato perché sospettato di imbrogliare, Jamal viene interrogato dalla polizia. Mentre ripassa le domande una per una, inizia ad emergere la storia straordinaria della sua vita vissuta per le strade, e della ragazza che ama e che ha perduto.     AMERICA AND THE MOVIES WHAT THE ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEES FOR BEST PICTURE TELL US ABOUT OURSELVES I am glad to be here, and honored. I spent some time with Ben this summer in the exotic venues of Oxford and Cambridge, but it was on the bus ride between the two where we got to share our visions and see the similarities between the two. I am excited about what is happening here at Arizona State and look forward to seeing what comes of your efforts. I’m sure you realize the opportunity you have. And it is an opportunity to study, as Karl Barth once put it, the two Bibles. One, and in many ways the most important one is the Holy Scripture, which tells us clearly of the great story of Creation, Fall, Redemption and Consummation, the story by which all stories are measured for their truth, goodness and beauty. But the second, the book of Nature, rounds out that story, and is important, too, in its own way. Nature in its broadest sense includes everything human and finite. Among so much else, it gives us the record of humanity’s attempts to understand the reality in which God has placed us, whether that humanity understands the biblical story or not. And that is why we study the great novels, short stories and films of humankind: to see how humanity understands itself and to compare that understanding to the reality we find proclaimed in the Bible. Without those stories, we would have to go through the experiences of fallen humanity to be able to sympathize with them, and we don’t want to have to do that, unless we have a screw loose somewhere in our brain.

The ReFrame Stamp program launched on June 8, 2018 with the announcement of 12 films that earned the stamp out of 100 films surveyed. We then expanded the program by inviting studio and independent films that have secured U.S. domestic theatrical or streaming distribution to submit their films for stamp consideration.     2020-3930-AJE 1 Incorporating Movie Clips to Validate Learning: 2 A Students’ Assessment 3 4 5 The use of movie-based educational interventions has been widely used in the 6 pedagogy of psychology. Wherein most of the researchers have included full- 7 length movies in their teaching followed by students’ comments of its 8 effectiveness; the current research was carried out to examine if or not 9 students will be able to find relevant clips from the list of movies provided and 10 incorporate those in their group workshops after being exposed to the 11 theoretical knowledge in their lecture class. To gauge how the participants 12 received it and what suggestions do they have to offer for the improvement of 13 this innovative exercise an anonymous survey and a semi open-ended interview 14 was used. The research was conducted in three trimesters of academic years 15 2018 and 2019. On analysis of the raw data, it was found that the students 16 rated the assignment favorably and reported that movie clips helped them 17 understand the course material better and enabled them to apply psychological 18 concepts to real-life situations.
