I. Prerequisites for the development of the Strategy Cultural and historical tourism is a collection of cognitive trips and visits to sites representing tourist-interpreted cultural values. The research and interpretation of cultural values associated with the frontiers of the Roman Empire, often referred to as the Roman Limes, are more than 5,000 km in length and extend to the territory of dozens of countries on three continents – Europe, Asia and Africa. Due to the exceptional importance and influence of the Roman Limes in the history of the Old World, since 1987, efforts have been made to declare it as a monument of the world cultural heritage under the UNESCO Convention.     Annex REPORT FOR 2019 UNDER THE “HEALTH CARE” PRIORITY of the NATIONAL ROMA INTEGRATION STRATEGY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA 2012 - 2020 Operational objective: A national monitoring progress report has been prepared for implementation of Measure 1.1.2. “Performing obstetric and gynaecological examinations with mobile offices in settlements with compact Roma population”. During the period 01.07—20.11.2019, a total of 2,261 prophylactic medical examinations were carried out with the four mobile gynaecological offices to uninsured persons of Roma origin and to persons with difficult access to medical facilities, as 951 women were diagnosed with diseases. The implementation of the activity for each Regional Health Inspectorate is in accordance with an order of the Minister of Health to carry out not less than 500 examinations with each mobile gynaecological office. Financial resources of BGN 12,500 were allocated for each mobile unit, totalling BGN 50,000 for the four units. Protective forest belts are developed as a defense against dry winds and soil moisture loss and considered as natural capital nowadays. Silistra municipality’s protective forest belts were investigated about their distribution, floristic composition, vegetation structure and syntaxomony. During 2018 field season 32 relevés were collected following the Braun-Blanquet approach. Data about diversity of invasive and melliferous plants were collected also. Vegetation types were identified by numerical classification using hierarchical agglomerative clustering (PC-ORD). Descriptive statistics about the cover of tree, shrub and herb layers as well as cover of invasive and melliferous plants were graphically summarized in vertical box-and-whisker plots. The forest belts syntaxonomical diversity is represented by 2 associations (Cotino coggygriae-Quercetum cerris, Bromo sterilis-Robinietum) and Amorpha fruticosa-Morus alba plant community. Cotino coggygriae-Quercetum cerris has closed horizontal structure with dominants Quercus cerris and Cottinus coggygria in tree and shrub layers respectively. Bromo sterilis-Robinietum is characterized by poor species composition and vegetation dominated by Robinia pseudoacacia and Fraxinus americana, whereas Amorpha fruticosa-Morus alba community has local distribution and represents a final stage of vegetation degradation.

XVI ECONOMIC ROLE OF THE ROMAN ARMY IN THE PROVINCE OF LOWER MOESIA (MOESIA INFERIOR) Michał Duch This books takes a comprehensive look at the Roman army as a factor which prompted substantial changes and economic transformations in the province of Lower Moesia, discussing its impact on the development of particular branches of the economy. The volume comprises five chapters. Chapter One, entitled “Before Lower Moesia: A Political and Economic Outline” consti- tutes an introduction which presents the economic circumstances in the region prior to Roman conquest. In Chapter Two, entitled “Garrison of the Lower Moesia and the Scale of Militarization”, the author estimates the size of the garrison in the province and analyzes the influence that the military presence had on the demography of Lower Moesia. The following chapter – “Monetization” – is concerned with the financial standing of the Roman soldiery and their contri- bution to the monetization of the province. Chapter Four, “Construction”, addresses construction undertakings on which the army embarked and the outcomes it produced, such as urbanization of the province, sustained security and order (as envisaged by the Romans), expansion of the economic market and exploitation of the province’s natural resources. In the final chapter, entitled “Military Logistics and the Local Market”, the narrative focuses on selected aspects of agriculture, crafts and, to a slightly lesser extent, on trade and services. The book demonstrates how the Roman army, seeking to meet its provisioning needs, participated in and contributed to the functioning of these industries.

    The International Conference on Sustainable Tourism Development in the DANUBE REGION: New Perspectives OPENING CEREMONY Mr. Rasim Ljajic, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunicati ons Aft er a long journalist career, in 2000, he was appointed Minister for Nati onal and Ethnic Communiti es in the Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and shortly aft er, in 2003, Minister of Human and Minority Rights in the Serbia and Montenegro Council of Ministers. He was also in charge of Serbia’s cooperati on with the Internati onal Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia as well as Minister of Labor and Social Politi cs in the Government of the Republic of Serbia. In 2012, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Foreign and Domesti c Trade and Telecommunicati ons. Since 2014, as Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunicati ons, he added tourism to his scope of work. He graduated from the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Medicine. Ms. Karla Robin Hershey, UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia / UNDP Resident Representati ve (February 2017 – present) Ms. Karla Hershey has a total 28 years of development and humanitarian experience and has served in four ‘Delivering as One’ UN countries to date. Karla served as the UN Resident/Humanitarian Coordinator, UNDP Resident Representati ve and Designated Offi cial in Maseru, Lesotho (2012-2017). Karla was also serving with the World Food Programme as their Representati ve and Country Director in Swaziland (2009-2012). Other previous posts have included leading positi ons in various internati onal programs across Africa.
