Then head to the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center’s outdoor exhibits featuring NH’s native animals including black bears, bobcats, deer, foxes, coyotes, river otters, owls and raptors. Buy your $10 ticket at snhutickets.com covering the cost of van transportation, the boat trip, and admission to the Science Center. Bring your own lunch or money to buy lunch. If you have time before the trip, you might enjoy watching the movie On Golden Pond which was filmed around Squam Lake.

World Cup Viewing Parties, Volunteering, Swim Lessons & More Fun in July  Monday, 7/2, 4-6 pm: board games + treats in the Student Center Lobby  /7 (10 am – 2 pm), /11 (2 pm), July 14 (10 am), (11 am) World Cup Viewing Parties, Last Chapter Pub (Student Center Lobby if Pub is closed on weekends)  Wednesday, , 3-8 pm: Summer Explore Program trip to Portsmouth for ice cream + exploring, followed by a beach clean-up project at Jenness Beach. *  Wednesday, , 5 pm: free picnic + lawn games on SNHU’s Green Space  Thursday, , 3-4 pm: Global Café in the ISS Office. July 28th Trip to New York City! $15 tickets are on sale at snhutickets.com for a day trip to New York City on Saturday, July 28th. The cost covers the bus trip only; bring extra money for whatever sites you’ll visit, shopping you’ll do, or food you’ll buy, and for local subways, etc. The bus departs SNHU’s Student Center at 7:30 am and gets back to SNHU at 2:30 am Sunday. For current SNHU students only.

Conversation Group on Tuesdays Looking for a fun, informal, relaxing way to practice and improve your conversational English skills? Or maybe you just want a place to hang out and develop relationships with local community members and other international students? Come to our Conversation Group on Tuesdays from 4-5pm at the SNHU Library! We meet weekly for informal conversation, and we often plan cookouts and other fun events off campus as well. This is a great way to make new friends, learn about the local community and improve your English skills. New participants are always welcome! CBP Immigration Checkpoints on I-93 this Summer The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) says that U.S. Customs & Border Patrol (CBP) will be conducting periodic immigration checkpoints along Route I-93 this summer. If you are driving north of Manchester, you should have your passport, I-20 and I-94 with you in case you are stopped and need to show proof of your legal status. Remember to stay calm and courteous, and stay in your car unless you’re asked to get out. Review the ACLU’s “Your Rights in the Border Zone” resource.
