EMILY ANN ROBERTS CONCERT We welcome Emily Ann Roberts back to Trinity on June 27th. Emily Ann was the 2015 runner up on “The Voice” as just a teenager she sang her way into the hearts of America that year. Since 2015 Emily has been busy recording, touring and writing. Emily Ann continues to pursue her love of but her deep faith in Jesus is evident in all she does. Emily is a regular at the gospel music gathering “Singing in the Sun” and can often be found as part of Abraham’s Productions tours and concerts. Emily will be with us as part of our morning worship on June 27th at 10:55AM and will present a fully sacred music concert at 7:00PM that night in the Sanctuary. All are invited and no admission is required. Join us and bring a friend for a night of inspiring music.

Slight Change to Online Giving

We are upgrading our Church Computer Program to give members better access to all things at Trinity. This includes our Online Giving. You may have noticed a brief hour without Online Giving availability on Friday. This is when we switched from Abundant to Realm. The text giving is exactly the same! Simply text tbcgift to 73256 If you go to our website at tbcraleigh.com and then click on GIVE it will take you to an online giving screen that looks the same as the old screen. The only difference is that you will need a new password when you log in. If you had a recurring gift set-up on your online giving, it was transitioned over for you. If you would like to save the link on your computer or phone, either of the following will work: https://onrealm.org/TrinityBaptistC/give/now or https:// tbcraleigh.com/give/online-give. Soon we will have an App that you can have on your phone and you will be sent an invitation to create an account.

Thank you for your continued support of Trinity Baptist Church!

CHURCH CONFERENCE The next Church Conference will take place at 6PM in the chapel on June 27th, instead of June 20th due to Father’s Day. Please make a note in your calendar.

SUMMER DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES Dialogues on the Refugee Crisis Tuesday at 6pm June 1-July 6 | Hybrid | Room C101 and Zoom Rebekah Gordon and Ashley Glimasinski

With more than 65 million people displaced in the world today, no one can dispute that we are in a refugee crisis. Human history holds many narratives of disruption and migration, including that of every person in our country and all throughout the Bible. As Christians, our faith should be borderless and grounded in the inherent value of all people because we are all made in the likeness of God. So what is going on with refugees today? What is the church’s historical involvement? How can we offer a network of care here in Raleigh? Join this study to discuss all of this and more! All adults welcome. Please email Rebekah Gordon if you would like the zoom info. SIMON PETER: FLAWED BUT FAITHFUL DISCIPLE A STUDY BY ADAM HAMILTON BEGINNING JUNE 16

“He left everything to follow his teacher and possessed a passion that would change the world. That’s one way to describe Peter. Here’s another: poor, uneducated, quick-tempered, and full of doubts and fears. Doesn’t even sound like the same man. And that’s the point of Simon Peter, a new book and six-week adult Bible study by Adam Hamilton. Peter was just an ordinary guy who heard and followed God’s extraordinary call. Discover how you, too, have special gifts, talents, and abilities that God can use to make a difference today.”

Join us for this study by Adam Hamilton beginning June 16th. The study will take place totally on zoom on Wednesday evenings. Email Karen for more information and the zoom link.

5 EDUCATION Rev. Karen Metcalf Eickhoff Sunday School Updates Our Adult Sunday School Curriculum has been moved inside to the tables in the hallway leading from the office to the sanctuary. The office lobby doors are now unlocked during the week and you may enter the church and locate curriculum items as you need them for the summer. Beginning in August, all items will be placed in assigned classrooms. The monthly magazines are placed in areas around the church as normal. When curriculum comes in for September, we plan to place items in Sunday School Classrooms as we did prior to Covid-19. The Fall Adult curriculum will be placed in classrooms beginning in August.

Lifeway curriculum is in for June.

We are excited to announce that we are implementing an upgraded database for our church administration. We are hopeful there will be improvements to our virtual method for Sunday School attendance record keeping. Please continue to send in your contact tracing names by Monday and your full attendance by email to Bonnie Cole as usual. I will be sharing the updated changes as they occur.

SIMON PETER: FLAWED BUT FAITHFUL DISCIPLE A STUDY BY ADAM HAMILTON WEDNESDAYS AT 6:30PM

Simon Peter is mentioned more often than any of the other apostles in the Gospels and he is the leading figure among the twelve in the first half of the Acts of the Apostles. While Simon Peter’s shortcomings are clearly on display in the Gospels, so also is his courage, his determination, his longing to follow Jesus even if it costs him his life. Peter becomes the rock upon which the church was built. He would carry his cross to follow Jesus. He would lay down his life for the gospel. We can see ourselves in his flaws and yet also see ourselves in moments of Peter’s courage, faithfulness, and his leading by the Holy Spirit.

Join us for this zoom- June 16: The Call of the Fisherman only study by contacting June 23: Walking with Jesus in the Storms Karen Eickhoff. FEED THE HUNGER Saturday June 12 | Fellowship Hall | 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm Feed the Hunger is a NC based organization committed to addressing both the food distribution problem that prevents people worldwide from getting the nutrition they need, and the spiritual hunger faced by those in extreme poverty. In a joint effort of Missions Steering and the Women’s Ministry of Trinity, our church will once again host a Feed the Hunger packathon to pack 24,000 meals that will be delivered to the needy across the United States, including regions affected by recent natural disasters. Meals will also be distributed by Feed the Hunger’s international partner churches to spread the gospel around the world. This energetic and fun project is open to anyone 1st grade and older. Feed the Hunger guidelines require volunteers wear a facial covering and participate in a temperature screening prior to entering the facility. Feed the Hunger will also provide gloves and hairnets for all participants. The number of volunteers has been capped for this event to ensure proper social distancing during the packathon. Please use one volunteer slot per each member of your family and kindly keep your family members together at a station. You may sign up using the sign-up genius link on the TBC website or by calling Misty Deyo at 919-272-5388.

TBC CARES MINISTRY TEAM Every Monday a group of Trinity volunteers takes the time to sort clothing at North Raleigh Ministries that has gone past its “sell by date” so that it can be used by other ministries throughout our city and beyond connecting our ministry partners with the clothing they need to serve those to whom they are called.

During the pandemic, this team has been active but shorter staffed, and they need your help to keep up with the supply and the demand. If you are interested in helping to be the best stewards of our gifts and donations and making sure that those in most need receive these gifts, contact Brenda Lowrance at [email protected].
