Emily Ann was the 2015 runner up on “The Voice” as just a teenager she sang her way into the hearts of America that year. Since 2015 Emily has been busy recording, touring and writing. Emily Ann continues to pursue her love of country music but her deep faith in Jesus is evident in all she does. Emily is a regular at the gospel music gathering “Singing in the Sun” and can often be found as part of Abraham’s Productions tours and concerts. Emily will be with us as part of our morning worship on June 27th at 10:55AM and will present a fully sacred music concert at 7:00PM that night in the Sanctuary. All are invited and no admission is required. Join us and bring a friend for a night of inspiring music. Slight Change to Online Giving We are upgrading our Church Computer Program to give members better access to all things at Trinity. This includes our Online Giving. You may have noticed a brief hour without Online Giving availability on Friday. This is when we switched from Abundant to Realm. The text giving is exactly the same! Simply text tbcgift to 73256 If you go to our website at tbcraleigh.com and then click on GIVE it will take you to an online giving screen that looks the same as the old screen. The only difference is that you will need a new password when you log in. If you had a recurring gift set-up on your online giving, it was transitioned over for you. If you would like to save the link on your computer or phone, either of the following will work: https://onrealm.org/TrinityBaptistC/give/now or https:// tbcraleigh.com/give/online-give. Soon we will have an App that you can have on your phone and you will be sent an invitation to create an account. Thank you for your continued support of Trinity Baptist Church! CHURCH CONFERENCE The next Church Conference will take place at 6PM in the chapel on June 27th, instead of June 20th due to Father’s Day. Please make a note in your calendar. 2 DEACON OF THE WEEK June 13 Joy Blashaw, native of Raleigh, has been a member of TBC since 1987. Thank you for the beautiful flowers, constant prayers, thoughtful calls and texts, midnight support calls, delicious food and most of all the loving arms of our church family. -Mica and Keith Ricks Trinity Family, Thank you for the prayers, cards, call, meals and love shown to us during the loss of Joe’s mom. Human history holds many narratives of disruption and migration, including that of every person in our country and all throughout the Bible. As Christians, our faith should be borderless and grounded in the inherent value of all people because we are all made in the likeness of God. So what is going on with refugees today? What is the church’s historical involvement? How can we offer a network of care here in Raleigh? Join this study to discuss all of this and more! All adults welcome. Please email Rebekah Gordon if you would like the zoom info. SIMON PETER: FLAWED BUT FAITHFUL DISCIPLE A STUDY BY ADAM HAMILTON BEGINNING JUNE 16 “He left everything to follow his teacher and possessed a passion that would change the world. That’s one way to describe Peter. Here’s another: poor, uneducated, quick-tempered, and full of doubts and fears. Doesn’t even sound like the same man. And that’s the point of Simon Peter, a new book and six-week adult Bible study by Adam Hamilton. Peter was just an ordinary guy who heard and followed God’s extraordinary call. Discover how you, too, have special gifts, talents, and abilities that God can use to make a difference today.” Join us for this study by Adam Hamilton beginning June 16th. The study will take place totally on zoom on Wednesday evenings. Email Karen for more information and the zoom link. 4 Rev. Steve Byers WORSHIP & MUSIC MUSIC MINISTRY ICE CREAM FELLOWSHIP Open to all adult singers in the Sanctuary Choir, PrimeTimers, First Light, the Ensembles, Orchestra, Bells and those who wish to get involved in the Music Ministry at Trinity! After a time of spiritual renewal and singing, we will fellowship outside together as we look forward to getting back to worship leadership in the Fall. The deadline for reservations was June 4. RSVP Mary Brown: [email protected] if your plans have changed and you can’t make it. Bring your own chair! WEDNESDAY JUNE 16TH 7:00-8:30PM TBC BACK PARKING LOT (SANCTUARY IN CASE OF RAIN) ALWAYS A PLACE FOR YOU! Find your place in the music ministry in 2021! We will be back together sometime in the near future! If you have singing or instrumental abilities, we need you. We are always looking for more musicians to add to our worship leading ministries at Trinity. Consider getting involved in music ministry and being a part of an exciting place of ministry! Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise-- the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. — Hebrews 13:15 5 EDUCATION Rev. Karen Metcalf Eickhoff Sunday School Updates Our Adult Sunday School Curriculum has been moved inside to the tables in the hallway leading from the office to the sanctuary. The office lobby doors are now unlocked during the week and you may enter the church and locate curriculum items as you need them for the summer. Beginning in August, all items will be placed in assigned classrooms. The monthly magazines are placed in areas around the church as normal. When curriculum comes in for September, we plan to place items in Sunday School Classrooms as we did prior to Covid-19. The Fall Adult curriculum will be placed in classrooms beginning in August. Lifeway curriculum is in for June. We are excited to announce that we are implementing an upgraded database for our church administration. We are hopeful there will be improvements to our virtual method for Sunday School attendance record keeping. Please continue to send in your contact tracing names by Monday and your full attendance by email to Bonnie Cole as usual. I will be sharing the updated changes as they occur. SIMON PETER: FLAWED BUT FAITHFUL DISCIPLE A STUDY BY ADAM HAMILTON WEDNESDAYS AT 6:30PM Simon Peter is mentioned more often than any of the other apostles in the Gospels and he is the leading figure among the twelve in the first half of the Acts of the Apostles.
