February 23, 2007 No Fear(R) Music Tour Featuring Killswitch Engage Kicks Off to a Sold-Out Crowd at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Acclaimed hard rock band Killswitch Engage kicked off the epic No Fear(R) Music Tour Wednesday night in Philadelphia with an electrifying performance in front of a sold-out crowd at the Electric Factory. No Fear tour mates DragonForce, Chimaira and He Is Legend turned in equally impressive sets, which combined to make the evening one of the most unforgettable hard rock performances in recent memory. The 35 date trek continues tonight, Friday, February 23rd at the Palladium in Worcester, MA, and wraps up April 8th at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL. Tickets can be purchased at www.hob.com and www.LiveNation.com. "The fans in Philly were treated to a truly awe-inspiring performance by four great bands in Philadelphia," says Randy Fibiger, Senior Manager of Tour Development for House of Blues. Kevin Morrow, Senior Vice President of Entertainment at House of Blues, continues: "The fan reaction to this tour has been overwhelming and I can't wait for more rock fans across the country to experience this great line-up." New England based hard rockers, Killswitch Engage, are fresh off the release of their successful fourth album on Roadrunner Records, "As Daylight Dies," which blends the band's unique fusion of aggression, melody, rock, and metal. With the first single, "My Curse," in regular rotation on MTV2 and garnering heavy airplay on over 60 stations around the country, the band has been on a roll. Alternative Press magazine has declared "As Daylight Dies" "an album of the year candidate," and Spin has deemed Killswitch " ... the next great metal band." "I don't think it's too early to say our partnership with HOB is a runaway success," says Britt Galland, Vice President of Marketing for No Fear. "I mean, a significant number of dates are already sold out, No Fear couldn't be more pleased with the fan support, band performances and overall association and collaboration with this tour. If the first night is any sort of indication of what's in store for the rest of the tour, then everyone better buckle up!" Known for their action-packed live show, metal masters DragonForce will perform as direct support to Killswitch Engage. Inhuman Rampage, their US debut with Roadrunner Records, has sold close to 120,000 copies in the U.S. since its June release, following a flurry of international praise. Also on the bill are Chimaira, who are releasing their upcoming album Resurrection on March 6th. He Is Legend, a mainstay of the hard rock touring circuit, will open all dates.
