FINANCE During the 2013/2014 year, we moved our annual balance date from 30 April to 30 June meaning the 2014 accounts detailed in the financial report are for a period of 14 months compared to this year’s 12 months, making direct comparisons difficult. When extracting comparative figures for the 12 months ending 30 June 2015 from the 2014 accounts, however, we can report the following: • Income for the 12 months to 30 June 2015 was up $97,153 or 4% on the same period in 2014 with expenditure down $22,015 or -0.92% for the same period. The resulting operating surplus of $122,111 was up $119,168 on 2014. A strong increase in commercial sponsorship and TAB levies and tight controls on expenditure has contributed to this year’s solid financial performance. • After depreciation of $51,984, we have recorded a net surplus of $70,544, up $115,320 on the comparative year’s net deficit of -$44,777.
