The branch’s finances are healthy. The Accounts have been passed by our external auditor. The audited accounts for 2017/2018 show that our activities resulted in a loss of £283.57 compared with a loss of £373.43 in the previous year. Class fees of £2073.50 in total were less than the previous year with the Saltcoats class having an increase of £5.00 and the West Kilbride class a decrease of £85.00. The costs associated with running classes exceeded income by £59. Our fund raising events during the year were less successful than the previous year and generated a loss of £310.40. The Children’s Day of Dance cost £548.60. We were able to cover the cost from our own resources. Donations accounted for £250.50 of our income. Losses connected with the provision of classes and the Children’s Day of Dance are completely in keeping with our charitable status and the association’s aims in promoting Scottish Country Dancing. I expect to see a slight surplus at the end of the next financial year. 8 SUBSCRIPTIONS: No increase in fees to RSCDS. Branch fees will remain the same. 9 ELECTION OF OFFICE BEARERS AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS Honorary President: Betty Fulton Honorary Vice President: Margaret Ballantine In the absence of the President and the Vice President, the Treasurer John Coy took the chair to oversee the election of the Chairman.
