Sometime judging of photography is subjective (personal opinion), this can be so true, but is not in the guide case, For GPU judging process minimize the potential of subjective by judging through a panel process utilizing experienced judges from varied judging backgrounds. • INTRODUCTION I Have Early Letters Between W
INTRODUCTION I have early letters between W. C. Darrah and Ray Bohman discussing the collecting of stereo views and their value in the early ‘70s. Personal correspondence between collectors at that time was the only way of sharing information prior to the establishment of NSA. On December 5, 1973, Richard Russack sent a questionnaire to approximately 250 stereo collectors to see if there was an interest in forming a “stereo collector’s organization.” Rick stated, “I believe that such a group could be helpful in at least two major areas. Firstly, the newsletter of the group could serve as a clearing house for information on particular views, subjects or photographers...Secondly, the group’s newsletter could also aid collectors in disposing unwanted items and also aid in adding items...Why not a “For Trade”...and certainly a “For Sale and Wanted” section...By this time you know what I have in mind.” Richard Russack.” On January 28, 1974, an invitation was issued to about 500 names of collectors interested in stereo by Richard Russack and John Waldsmith. It also defined the contents of a proposed newsletter to be called Stereo World. During the 1980’s there was a big influx of members who were taking 3-D photographs and the magazine became more balanced between the collectors and the shooters. Tex Treadwell edited the previous index (Volumes 1 through 23) and defined his guidelines for inclusion of entries. These guidelines were a basis for my work, but I decided to start over from Vol 1, Number 1, in order to give continuity to the complete work.

Zoonar Published on MicrostockInsider (https://www.microstockinsider.com) Zoonar Zoonar [1] Tweet [2] Review By Steve Gibson Written 30 June 2010 Updated 09 June 2020 zoonar_logo.gif [3] Visit Zoonar [4] 16 Our Review: Zoonar have grabbed my attention not because they are (yet another) new start-up microstock [5] site but because of the services they offer the photographer. Along with building their own image collection of both micro and macrostock [6] priced images they also allow photographers to distribute content to several partner agencies. The content distribution service is different from that offered by the (now closed) image and video syndication [7] service isyndica [8] in that images are distributed for sale with partner sites without the need for contributors to be a member of those sites, payment is made directly into your zoonar account. At the moment zoonar have partnered around a dozen photo agencies including fotofinder and alamy, the current choice of distribution partners favors images priced at a macrostock price level, although zoonar offer images over three price ranges "microstock" "standard" and "premium" to buyers on their site. Photographers can sell images at either rights managed [9] (not for microstock) or royalty free [10]. The site works reasonably well, There are a few rough edges especially around internationalization with the occasional German tool-tips and navigation appearing when viewing the site in English. Although zoonar have been in business since 2006, it's only in 2010 that they completely reworked their website to attract microstock contributors. Comparison price represents 1 image download at 3 euros.
