General: 1.1 Any offer not received as per terms & conditions of the tender enquiry is liable to be ignored and also no offer shall be considered if: a. received without bid money b. it is received after the time and date fixed for its receipt c. not signed & stamped by authorized person on each page of tender documents d. the offer is ambiguous e. the offer is received by fax or e-mail f. the offer is from a black listed firm g. offer received with shorter validity than required h. offer not conforming to specifications indicated in the tender enquiry i. Offered rate is received other than original tender documents j. Not meeting mandatory requirements as mentioned at Clause:12 of the tender documents k. Any conditional offer 1.2 Offered rates (in Pak Rupees) will remain valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening. No escalation in rate will be given during contract period. 1.3 No change in prices will be made in case of Pak rupees depreciation against US$ or any other currency. 1.4 The cover envelop should indicate particulars of tender, and date of opening. The envelop must be properly sealed. 1.5 The bid money / security shall be forfeited if: a. The acceptance of purchase order is not received within ten days of issuance of order b. The offer is withdrawn, amended or revised. c. Ph: 042-35209200 Fax: 042-35213459, Web: www.pvtc.gop.pk ____________________ Signature & Stamp of bidder Page 3 of 18 1.7 Offered rates will be on the basis of collection of delivery material(envelops, boxes etc.) from PVTC Head office,134-A, Industrial Estate, Kot Lakhpat, Madar-e-Millat Road, Green Town, Lahore and shall include all taxes, import duties, levies etc. 1.8 All tenders can be cancelled by the Chairman PVTC or any officer in this behalf before acceptance of the bid (s) as per PPRA Rules 2014, Clause: 35 2. Delivery Period: Delivery time period for overnight services will be within 24 hours and for overland services within 72 hours. 3. Extension In Delivery period: In special circumstances, request for extension of delivery period due to genuine reasons may be considered by approving authority Chairman, PVTC or any officer in this behalf on the written request of the firm before the target date of delivery. 4. Contract Period The contract will be for a period of 03 years w.e.f. from the signing of the date of the agreement / contract. 5. Cancellation / Penalty of Delay: 5.1 If the acceptance of the order(s) issued during the validity period of the tender is not acceptable by the bidder, the bid money will be forfeited and the stores / services can be purchased at his risk and cost. 5.2 In case the offer is withdrawn, amended or revised during the validity period of the tender, the bid money shall be forfeited. 5.3 In case bidder fails to execute the contract / order(s) in accordance with the terms & conditions laid down in the contract, the services will be purchased at his risk and cost. 5.4 In case of delayed supply and services, the purchaser may cancel the supply order or impose appropriate penalty. Payment to the Contractors: Payment will be made through crossed cheque to the supplier against invoice within 30 days after the satisfaction of concerned user on monthly basis. 7. Bid Money: 7.1 Fix bid money of Rs. 20,000/- for the estimated price will have to be deposited along with tender documents. It should be in the form of Pay Order / Demand Draft in favor of Punjab Vocational Training Council, Lahore 7.2 Bid money of unsuccessful bidders will be refunded at the approval of the contract / tender by competent authority whereas the bid money of successful bidder shall be refunded on the successful completion of contract period. 8. Deduction of Taxes: Any taxes (if applicable) will be deducted while making payment as per Government instructions/ notifications. 9. Payment of Sales & other Taxes, Duties, Levies: Purchase shall be made from the firms registered with income tax and sales tax authorities. Sales and other such taxes, import duty, surcharge, excise, levies etc., will be liability of the supplier. 10. Termination of Contract: Chairman PVTC may terminate contract for convenience assigning reasons to the contractor in writing with compensation of items /services delivered to the purchaser if applicable. 11. Dispute Resolution: In case of any dispute before or after the execution of contract, matter will be resolved as per PPRA Rules 2014’ Clause 67 & 68 The dispute arising after the contract shall be resolved in the following manner/mechanics 11.1 The arbitrator will be Mr. Farrukh Bashir, Manager STTI, PVTC, Lahore 11.2 The contractor shall provide his grievances in writing within 15 days after the dispute 134-A, Industrial Estate, Kot Lakhpat, Madar-e-Millat Road, Green Town, Lahore. Mandatory Evaluation Requirements/Services: 12.1 The company/firm should be in existence for the last 05 years. 12.2 The company/firm should be on the panel of Public Sector Organizations and Multi-National Companies. (Attach copy of work orders/agreements). 12.3 The company/firm should have countrywide network of branches located at major cities of Pakistan. The connectivity to the destinations through agents/franchises, if any, may be clearly indicated with details (Attach the list of network). 12.4 The company/firm should be able to handle Air Courier, Air Cargo and Surface Cargo. 12.5 The company/firm should have online 24X7 tracking system. 12.6 The Courier Company should be able to provide services in the entire Pakistan including remote villages / areas. 12.7 In case of address closed, wrong address or non-delivery of shipment, due to any other reason, supplier will make 03 attempts for its delivery within a week time and will return the shipment to Punjab Vocational Training Council, 134-A, Industrial Estate, Kot Lakhpat, Madar-e-Millat Road, Green Town, Lahore. 12.8 Registration with Security & Exchange Commission of Pakistan 12.9 Registration with Pakistan Private Courier Services Regulatory Authority (PPCSRA). NOTIFICATION (Income Tax) S.R.O. 9^ (I)/2019.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 68 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 (XLIX of 2001) and in supersession of its Notification No. S.R.O. 121(I)/2019 dated the Is' February, 2019, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to notify the value of immoveable properties in columns (3) and (4) of the Table below in respect of areas or categories of Lahore specified in column (2) thereof. (2) The value for residential and commercial superstructure shall be — (a) Rs.1500 per square foot if the superstructure is upto five years old; and (b) Rs.1000 per square foot if the superstructure is more than five years old. (3) In order to determine the value of constructed property, the value of open plot shall be added to the value worked out at sub-paragraph (2) above. Publishedonline: 1 Jan. 2018. Abstract Soil samples were collected from four tehsils of district Chakwal, Pakistan with an aim to measure naturally occurring radio-nuclides in this region. Radioactivities of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K are measured using high purity germanium (HPGe) based gamma ray spectrometry system. The measured mean specific activity concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K in the soil samples was 34.27 ± 1.28, 51.59 ± 2.73 Bqkg-1 and 606.42 ± 21.23 Bqkg-1. From the measured activity concentrations of soil samples, radium equivalent activity, external and internal hazard indices, terrestrial absorbed dose, gamma representative Index, annual effective dose, annual gonadal dose equivalent, and estimated life time cancer risk were calculated. Mean radium equivalent activity (Raeq), outdoor radiation hazard index (Hex), indoor radiation hazard index -1 (Hin), absorbed dose rate (D) and gamma representative Index (Iγ) for soil were found to be 155.02 ± 6.66 Bqkg 0.42 ± 0.2, 0.51 ± 0.2, 73.35 ± 2.69 nGyh-1and 1.15 ± 0.01 respectively.

    Bulletin of Education and Research December 2015, Vol. 37, No. 2 pp. 1-08 A Study of Mother’s Knowledge about Childcare and Care Practices in Lahore, Pakistan Abdul Qayyum Ch*, Syeda Mahnaz Hassan** and Abida Zafar** _______________________________________________________________ Abstract The objective of the present study was to investigate the mother’s knowledge about childcare and care practices. Data was collected through survey technique from 50 mothers of the different areas of Lahore city including Township, Green Town, Nawab Town and WAPDA Town by convenient sampling strategy. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool which had 24 close-ended questions. The data was analyzed by SPSS to make sure objectivity in the results. The study revealed that majority of mothers are well aware about child care and care practices. The results also explored that how mother’s knowledge, education and child ratio affect the quality of child care. The study found that effective mother’s knowledge regarding child care had a profound impact on the delivery of quality care practices. The study suggested that the mothers should consult with childcare specialists regularly to take guidance about the proper diet and proper care for their children and should read the magazines and articles related to the childcare practices regularly.
