 If you truly “love” something, anything, you have to be able to accept the good, the bad, & the ugly

 Every show is flawed & these flaws don’t make a given show impossible to enjoy

 Just b/c something’s got (a lot of) flaws –or worse, is trash– doesn’t mean you can’t like it

 Just b/c a show’s on this list doesn’t mean I think it’s crap  Flawed =/= terrible For All the Older Series…

 Astro Boy  Tetsujin 28-go  8 Man   Speed Racer  Lupin III  Space Battleship Yamato  Doraemon  Galaxy Express 999  ∞ con’t  All the shows have similar issues  Hokey, cheesy, over-the-top, ridiculous set-ups/premises, super formulaic, etc.  Buuuut…also tend to be groundbreaking, industry changing, standard setting, trailblazers, & a whole lotta things that make them harder to tackle  i.e., copping out for the sake of keeping this panel shorter  Not every 80s & earlier show is like this, but I PLEA THE FIFTH  God only knows how much I want to tear into Macross -_-

15  Begin deluge, but first (2nd): F**k Mikasa (keep this in mind as I list off my complaints)  What’s her purpose in the series? ‘Protect’ Eren with all the effectiveness of Orihime from Bleach  & still find a way to magically piss me off more so than booby bomb from Breachiru X/ (don’t worry, I’ll s’plain it)

17  The 3D maneuver gear makes no GD sense  Why swords when clearly you have projectile weapons that would be better suited?  Why didn’t they, in the before times, spend more time developing Titan-killing projectile weaponry than mofo swords/razor blades? What idiot thought this was a brilliant idea???  Even though I love my babies, WTF Levi & Erwin  So you just gonna spin like a top…it’s that how we’re doing business now? I’m sorry, am I watching AoT or Beyblades? Also, why is Erwin such a bada$$ again? B/c he’s heartless..?  Also, why does, in-universe, Sasha get hyped so much, going so far as to mention she was able to bring down a titan with a bow & arrow (how?), only for her to be cowardly for the rest of the series  It’s called Claymore; AoT before it was AoT Con’t

18  Let’s talk about the 3 main characters, shall we?  How the f**k is Armin still alive & in the top 10?  Why doesn’t anyone take Eren seriously up until he turns into a Titan?  Why is Mikasa being treated as this warrior maiden/valkyrie b*tch when you have ppl. like Levi & Erwin around?  Also, she’s not super attractive (average, but not super hot) why do ppl. keep turning here into some kinda sex symbol???  Oh, & the only 2 times she really needed to be there for Eren (since joing the brigade), she failed miserably, she why is she being hyped as some type of ultra bodyguard for Eren  There all one note, but it’s not really all that forgivable for how much this series is hyped; they’re not unbearable, sure, but they’re not all that terribly interesting either  Finally, of course, being emotional is okay for guys (Eren & his Titan form) but bad for women (how many times does Mikasa almost get her Asian a$$ killed for being too emotional?)  F**k that, most of the characters are uninteresting  Compare/contrast to something like . You might hate all of them, but at least there’s something to feel anything about Con’t

25  Madoka: for those who’ve never watched a series but like to be “magical girl anime experts”  Takes the place of Narutards of yesteryear & joins OP d*uches now -_-  Pretty standard deconstruction/“darker & edgier” series  Evangelion, Narutaru, Bokurano, Utena, etc.  Ppl. reading way too much into things  Just b/c actual literary works were mentioned/referenced doesn’t mean there’s a multitude of levels with SYMBOLISM  If you know & understand the multitude of mahou shojou, you realize Madoka isn’t really all that special  See: Utena, Rayearth, Sailor Moon, , , Pretear, , Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, etc.  Looking at who’s writing it, you can expect certain tones, etc.  Gen Urobuchi: Fate/Zero, Saya no Uta, Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, , etc. Also, Outside genre reasons for my pissiness
